the dragon prince, it has hot elves and great worldbuilding, intelligent story, interesting characters, poc, memorable music etc. if you're into that kind of stuff

In case anyone else took as long as me to see it, the reason Zym was able to pull off Raylas wrist binding and save her arm, is because since Zym was born he was no longer the counter to Ezran, she bound herself to kill Ezran to balance the fact that the dragon prince egg was destroyed, Zym being born made that void, she could have torn it off herself at that point, it wasn’t dragon strength or the sharpness of his teeth, it was symbolic
Or a fact that he was Rayla's lord and prince of Xadia so he probably has right to release her from oath. Or maybe both

TDPs writing is kinda shit ngl. They completely wasted Viren's character and the dark magic bad primal magic good message is really fucking bad when you put .2 ounces of critical thinking. Also how the fandom acts like Xadia did nothing/ far less wrong then humans while completely ignoring the power imbalances in the past and how magic creatures literally trail of teared humanity. This series frustrates me and I'm not denying what the humans are doing currently is ok (viren you fucking war criminal and shitty dad) but from the writing standpoint, it is shitty and poor attempted commentary on historical/social issues. Wished netflix didnt rush that last season because the writing definitely took a toll. Might make more posts tbh
Hold up scratch that, i guess a better word to use than writing would be framing. Like the character interactions and development are cool and all, its just the framing that "both sides are to blame but one is far more guilty than the other and its not the side with systematic advantages and big ass dragons" that i dont like.Why does nobody talk about this

If they pay attention to moon phases, they won't leave shit like this on literal centre XD. The final episode of season 3 was disappointing in terms of Viren, guy is not dead tho. And the series didn't end.

Like, I think it is too early to make conclusions. We don't know what they'll do with next 4 seasons, right? And that's more than half of the show.
