It's quite irrelevant to the blog but since now it's Eurovision semifinal (is it?), I just wanted to say how proud I am of Manizha, presenting Russia.

She receives so much hate from people absolutely unfairly. She is an immigrant, feminist and supporter of LGBTQ+ and bodypositivity, and also the UN Goodwill Ambassador.

Her song is very authentic. And though it might not be a masterpiece music-wise, its lyrics made me cry, I felt it on a personal level. Its words are painful, motivating and empowering at the same time. Her performance is breathtaking as well – including the video of 100 Russian women of different cultures, professions, sexualities, gender identities, body sizes and age singing with her.

I'm so glad that she made it there, I'm so glad it's not one of those meaningless pop songs, and it's probably the first time I'll be rooting for someone on this contest this hard.

The woes of a Hungarian…./sigh/

Anyway, this wasn’t meant to blame anyone, it’s just a simple request from a person who is constantly bothered by the fact that while the names of other countries are used correctly most of the time, Hungary is still in the “Elizabeta” pit. It has been 10 years or so, can we start calling her on an actual Hungarian name people here in the country would recognize?

Erzsébet is not that hard to pronounce either.

“zs” stands for a sound similar to the “j” in the french word “je”.

Hey so uhhh my paycheck was literally 50 bucks and I really need the cash cause I’m mega stressed about a lot of finance related shit so I can’t do art commissions (unless you want a paper sketch????) but imma open up writing commissions I’m not fully sure how to price it like I guess an amount for every thousand words or somethn but idk how much would be like a realistic price for that?
