The younger nodded, hanging onto her hand like he used to hang onto his brother. It was more comforting than he imagined as he tried to keep blinking, letting his eyes flush out as much as they could naturally. “I’ve never liked spicy stuff,” he responded to her story with a small smile, trying to ignore the pain.

Wendy placed an arm around his waist to help him back the short distance to her house, walking quickly but carefully. “Did you see who did this,” she asked gently as she unlocked her front door, taking him to the couch and setting him down.

          “YOU… MISUNDERSTAND ME. It’s not… a bad thing to be stupid. It’s just who I am.” He’d built practically his whole identity around his lack of intelligence and lack of understanding. “I am stupid. It’s not an insult. It’s just the truth. Even a stupid person can still seek help.” 

          HE SHOOK HIS HEAD. “I… I can’t accept that answer. I had to have deserved it somehow.”

Wendy pursed her lips as he spoke, her heart hurting a little as he spoke of himself. She didn’t like such words to describe oneself, but she listened to his words carefully. He didn’t think it was a bad thing, so she let it slide and instead listened to his words after. “Sometimes bad things happen to us and we can’t explain why,” she said gently. She left it at that, if he wanted more he would ask for more, but she was cautious of how fragile he was, not wanting to push him past his limits.

          HE NODDED, FEELING COMFORTABLE with her. ‘Thank you…” He supposed he should start actually talking about his past. “I’ve… I’ve done a lot of bad things in my past. I don’t know why I do them. I just… do. I think it’s because I’m stupid and don’t really know better, but… if that’s the case, why does everyone hurt me so much?”

Wendy didn’t like how he was referring to himself, and she had to bite her tongue to not chastise him too harshly. “My dear Lefou,” she said softly, looking down at her book, “Stupidity is merely a matter of perception.” She looked back up at him, hooking one leg under her as she spoke. She had a childlike look about her in that moment, “And I do not believe you are stupid. You are here after all, seeking help. As to why people hurt you, well there are many bad people in this world. Bad people who do bad things, because they don’t see any form of light. We cannot change their actions, but we can change who we surround ourselves with.” It hurt her to know people had hurt the person before her.

          IF IT STAYED A SECRET, HE’D BE SAFE, he thought, and she seemed so gentle– there wasn’t a pair of scissors or scalpels to be found anywhere. She clearly wasn’t the kind of doctor that would quite literally look inside his mind. “What’s the difference between… a psychologist like you, and a psychiatrist like my old doctor?” He thought he knew, he just needed confirmation.

Wendy’s eyes met her hands as sadness hit her. He had been hurt, by someone in a power position and this didn’t sit well with her. Interlacing her fingers, she leaned forward. “I am not sure what this doctor did to you, or what sort of doctor he is. All I can tell you is how I work. I listen and write down the things you say. I give guidance if I think you need it, and we only do as much as you need and require. I work to your speed,” she said gently. “If you want to stop at anytime, we will stop and take a breath.” Her lips pursed together for a moment before relaxing once again.

Aster flinched when he first felt her touch but he relaxed as he realized she just wanted a better look at his eyes. Tears were starting to well up, burning and washing away the pain at the same time which was an odd sensation in itself. “Milk?” He questioned with uncertainty lacing his tone.  However, he was no doctor so he was willing to go along with whatever she said if it would help.

Wendy nodded gently, and realise she should probably answer verbally, “Yes, it was a trick my mother taught me. My brother once ate a chilli and rubbed his eyes. Milk seemed to help,” a smile upon her face. “Here, let me help you back to my place and we can try calming those eyes down,” Wendy said gently grabbing on of his hands.

Snake sighed as he leaned against the building, drinking his energy drink in one hand, trying to decide what he was going to for dinner. “I’m off the clock.” He told the other without even bothering to look up. When he finally did, however, he noticed that the person didn’t really need a paramedic and turned his attention to them this time around. “Sorry, what’s up?” He asked.

Wendy had found herself eating alone in a restaurant after being stood up. Looking around at the others who seemed to be laughing and enjoying their dinners, it was then that her eyes fell on someone standing alone across the street. An idea popped into her head, two strangers, alone tonight. Maybe she could offer a meal to a stranger so she didn’t feel so lonely. With a quick word to the waitress, the brunette made her way out to the other, crossing the street, a small smile upon her lips as she approached him.  “Good evening. I was just sitting having a beautiful meal and I thought what could be better than spending it with someone,” her gentle tone caressing the words. “Would you like to have a meal with a complete stranger,” she asked gently.

Bio: Wendy still remembers all the adventures she had with Peter, and tells children around her all the stories. She believes that any adventure is a good adventure if you have the right mindset. 

When she was growing up, she knew from a young age she wanted to help those believe in happy thoughts for they could make you fly. This helped her decide she would help people see goodness in the world, so she studied hard and got a qualification that could help her help others. Her greatest joy is seeing others mindsets change.

          LEFOU WAS ONE… IN TRUE NEED of psychological help. His mental state had deteriorated even moreso over the years, and– he’d actively refused any kind of treatment. However, his son actively encouraged him to seek help: and although he had a phobia of doctors of all kinds, he tried to brave it. “I.. I’m sorry. I should probably go. I feel like I wasted enough of your time as it is– I didn’t even say anything of substance. I just babbled on. I just… I just sat here too scared to say anything of how I really feel– it feels like you’ll hurt me just like Dr. D’Arque did.”

Wendy leaned back in her chair, hoping this slight shift would come off as non-threatening. “My dear, talking about anything is a massive step.” She put her notebook down in her lap and crossed her fingers over it. “I cannot and will not promise anything, but I continuously strive to make this a safe place,” she motioned her hand around the room. “Everything that is said in here, stays in this book. What you feel is the most important part of our sessions,” her gentle voice lingering on the words.

Legs crossed, perched on pillows, Wendy listened to the other, nodding at appropriate moments and scribbling down important notes from what they were saying. Free sessions were somewhat regular for Wendy, she had the philosophy that if someone needed help, you help them in any way that you could. She was often just a listening ear that sometimes gave words of advice, and this seemed to be one of those times. Her alarm rang before the other could finish, indicating the end of the session, but Wendy merely turned off the alarm and turn back to the other. “Don’t worry, I don’t have anymore sessions for the day, continue if you wish,” the psychologist said, leaning forward ever so slightly to show her interest.

‘ i’d say we’re closed ,’ rubied lips start to speak before faltering , eyes taking a quick glance up && down at the figure in front of her — pouted corners upturning into a small , pitted smile .  ‘ — but you look like you could use the help . ‘ it wasn’t unusual for something genuine to come out the wrong way , almost a decade in auradon && evie still struggled with watching her words . a villain raised , but hero at heart — she still grew up in the isle .

A small smile met her lips as she noted the tone in the others voice, a tone that reminded her of boys she had once met a long time ago. Wendy couldn’t help how full her heart felt in that moment as she was taken back to her childhood for a split second. She composed herself with a small clearing of the throat before taking a few steps forward. “They say you are the woman to see if you want to recognise your natural look,” the smile widening as she spoke. Wendy had heard many rumours of the person in front her, but she was yet to see the magic happen in front of her eyes.

— “you don’t have to do that. It’s okay, im at fault.” One would think that Ben was use to being called my king and your majesty and while sometimes he was used to it, lately it seemed like almost a burden as he had all these thoughts in his head. “No you haven’t, it’s alright. I hope I hadn’t caused you any since you’re late correct?” He mentioned to them. “Anyway I can help you get to where you need to be?”

Wendy let her hands fall to her sides as a small smile met her lips. “Well I think we might not get anywhere with who’s at fault,” she looked at a map in her hands for a moment, “But I would love some help to find this building,” she responded as she showed him the small map she had in her hands. “I’m afraid it is my first time here, I had hoped I would’ve been on time,” she shook her head. Very professional she thought to herself.

It was hard to see anything beyond blurry figures at the moment but he looked up when a feminine voice reached his hears. “ Uh — ” He paused, failing to find words for what happened since he had no idea what he been sprayed with or why. “ It was an accident but I got this stinging stuff sprayed in my eyes. ” He was rubbing at them, trying to do anything to get the pain to stop. The person that sprayed him had run off to find help but he had no idea when they would be back.

Wendy gently held his hands, pulling them away from his eyes so she could see the damage she was about to deal with. “I have an idea that should work,” she said gently, letting go of his hands and placing hers on her knee. “Milk is supposed to work wonders for calming down anything hot,” she suggested, her voice with a hint of worry.

       “wow — th-that really stings,” aster struggled to get the words out as he dealt with the pain in his eyes. with recklessness and no spatial awareness, a stranger had managed to spray mace in his face, thankfully from a distance but it still hurt pretty damn bad. he knew rubbing at them was only making it worse but he had never dealt with this kind of weapon on the isle. chemicals and potions were limited back home so daggers and swords were always the most popular choice for personal protection. in the five years he had been in auradon, this was his first and hopefully last time dealing with the awful stuff.

Wendy was on her way home from work when she saw someone who looked to be in pain. Without a second thought, she knew she had to help them in anyway that she could. Briskly making her way over, she started to speak to them so they knew she was coming over. “Are you alright my dear,” her sweet voice carrying through the air as she knelt down in front of him. “What happened to you.”

— Ben liked these chances when he got to be out of the office and walk around the grounds. It was nice to not be cooped up and not having to deal with meeting after meeting one right after the other. It was starting to get to him as evident as he was lost in thought before bumping into someone and managing to grab them before any harm was done. “Pardon me are you alright?” He asked putting on his king persona. “Apologizes for not noticing you were in front of me and crashing into you.”

Running late was not a usual occurrence for Wendy, but here she was, practically running to make it to the appointment on time. It was, however, normal for the brunette to make ‘house calls’ to her clients wherever they felt most comfortable. Trying not to run overtime, she could not help herself but give all her clients as long as they needed to get what was off their chest.  She glanced down for only a moment, but that was all it took for her to run into someone. Without a second thought, she began her apology spiel that would surely take a long time to finish. “Oh my goodness, I am so unbelievably sorry, I wasn’t looking where I was going and I’m running so late,” she said before her eyes met the person she had run into. A hand met her lips as she realised she had run into the king, her legs curtseying before she even knew what they were doing. “My king, I am so sorry for this,” she said, a small bow to her head as she spoke before rising back up. “I hope I did not cause any inconvenience to you.”
