Low key kinda had an Omo moment in my dnd session tonight. Didn't want to push it too much with my group but the party was flying in an airship/hot air balloon, and my character is very afraid of heights. She spent most of her time huddled in the middle, close to the floor so she wouldn't have to see over the sides.

Though at one point, I had her mention (after 6 hours of travel, mind you) that she didn't know how to use the bathroom on this balloon.

The group all said there was no bucket, so her only option is to literally dangle over the edge of the basket and hold on.

Of course, my poor girl would rather die than face her fear of heights, even if they tied her to keep her safe. Eventually, even the DM said "you hold it as long as you can, but with 4 hours to go until your destination, you end up needing to relieve yourself."

We did not elaborate, but rest assured I was imagining my sweet water mage absolutely suffering. I imagined her twisted up in the center of the balloon, legs crossed, hands jammed down between them, squirming and whimpering and biting on her lip, trying not to think about how bad she has to piss, and how high up they are. Rocking back and forth, just hoping they get to their destination before she was forced to piss herself.
