SISTER’S KEEPER (2017)
shot by Jeremy Rodney-Hall.
Fatou, 25, and Farida, 19, are Senegalese half sisters with a very interesting relationship. As the eldest of the two, Fatou leads a path of success, self-confidence, and boldness. However, Farida finds it difficult to follow through with the lane her sister has paved. Time and time again, Fatou attempts to groom her younger sister into being much more self-assured, though it often leads to arguments and disconnections. At Sunday School, we believe in the importance of documenting real storylines and displaying authentic experiences. Thus, our first female-driven series “My Sister’s Keeper,” (FULL series) officially releases today and can be found at www.ssunday.co.

RECLAIMING MY TIME
I walked into school today and found this. I never in a million years expected this type of response from people at my school especially since we are in New Zealand and the media here has hardly covered Ferguson at all!! And on top of that the school I go to literally has 5 black people including myself. To all of those people who say you’re doing nothing by reblogging or tweeting or sharing articles about ferguson don’t listen to them!! Without you guys spreading this info and making a fuss I guarantee you that this would never have had happened at my school. Thanks to the people who did this another 1000+ people will be aware that black lives fucking matter!!!

Over his lifetime, acclaimed Nigerian photographer, J.D. Okhai Ojeikere, photographed thousands of hairstyles worn by Nigerian and African women. Today, these photographs have been seen around the world and continue to inspire stylists, hairdressers and photographers alike.
To pay homage to Ojeikere’s work, photographer Medina Dugger created the Chroma photo series, which she describes as “an ongoing series that celebrates women’s hairstyles in Lagos, Nigeria through a fanciful, contemporary lens.”
