On this day 18 years ago (13.01.2004) - Thomas Hurndall, human rights activist in Palestine, 22 years old English, pacifist and photographer of the International solidarity movement (ISM), dies after a 9-month coma, shot in the head on 11 April 2003 by an 'Israeli' sniper while with his own body he shielded a group of Palestinian children in the refugee camp of Rafah, in the Gaza Strip.

I remember at that time, how unthinkable it would be that Palestinians would still be living on the West Bank in a refugee Camp without a Palestinian State all these years later. ”
