If you’re chasing after history, then take a trip on the iconic ORIENT EXPRESS. It’s been the subject of literature and film for decades. Perhaps, you too, will write the next great American novel while sipping tea in your cabin. Consider it a startup cost. 

‘Meet Me At the Clock’ is the signature drink at CLOCKWORK BAR. Taking up the majority of the lobby of the majestic Fairmont Royal York, Clockwork is the place where Toronto’s most fascinating drop by for Happy Hour. The Fox News Scandal was shocking back in 2016 and even more so as it’s fictionalized behind the scenes. Take your daughters, wives, sisters, mothers, friends, and all the men in your life. The subject matter may be heavy, but it demands an audience. 

The Food Network is our go to for recipe inspiration when we’re just not feeling that creative in the kitchen. Try the TUSCAN CHICKEN SKILLET. Our non-meat readers can substitute tofu or tempeh as required.

We’re feeling all kinds of grateful this holiday season for all the beautiful things life has to offer. Even though we probably don’t need gifts, here’s a list that will be sure to please. (Also, that was a joke. We’d like gifts still.) 

Reformation isn’t slowing down, and the Lee Dress is going to get you through holiday party season. Consider it a gift for yourself. If you’re super nice, we guess you can buy it for someone else too. Like us, please. Thanks. 

We love a holiday meal, but it’s heavy and predictable. This year, gift mama with Tartine, for a unique spin on the classic tart. Sweet or savoury, there’s a tart for all of us. Plus, it’s a really damn attractive food.

Anthroplogie makes amazing clothes, but we’re obsessed with their home collection. It’s whimsical, fairy godmother, boho-goddess, everything we need in life. Think hard. We’re sure you know someone who needs an extra couple knick-knacks to amplify the charm in their home. 

Experiences make for the most memorable gifts, and our favourite Disney movie is hitting a stage near you. What’s more luxe than a Russian princess turned orphan who finds love and reclaims her throne? The costume department on this production did marvels! You’ve got to see it for yourself.

You probably know the Plaza hotel from Home Alone 2, but it deserves its status as a New York landmark. You can’t leave the city without visiting it, and New York really does holidays more grand and romantic than anywhere else.  Bring the fam, bring your partners and friends, and enjoy this treat. No one will be grumpy this holiday season at the Plaza. The High Tea and Christmas lunch are standouts. 

Everyone loves a comfy sweater and Simons does apres-ski like no one else. It’s like they spell it out for you, or something...

Finally, you’re going to need some really good music to get you through the holidays. Christmas music is sweet, but after about a week, jingle bells is starting to give us a headache. With his sophomore release, Fine Line, Harry Styles nurses a broken heart and breaks the formulaic composition of pop music. It’s intense, powerful, shocking, and possesses a rare honesty. We’re here for it, Harry. Give it a spin, buy it for your friends, play it for your grandma. She’s super cool. We guarantee it’s the best cure for a jingle bells headache.

AREA NYC introduced one of most buzzed about collections at Fashion Week this year, and we still haven’t recovered. If clothes could be decadent...

We had SO MUCH FUN creating this month’s list, we just couldn’t keep it to ourselves. There’s so much to be excited about this August!

Spend the next, lounging on the unforgettable beach. There’s a reason that the Four Seasons chain is iconic; every moment of your holiday will be luxury at its finest. Don’t forget to sample traditional Vietnamese cuisine at the two atmospheric restaurants. Pro tip: you have never seen a spa like this before, but instead of spoiling it, we’ll let you see for yourselves. 

Now here at YourLuxeGirlThings we pride ourselves on spotting the hottest designers before anyone else. Jonathan Simkhai and Johanna Ortiz are two names that every luxe girl needs to know now. Of course, you could also stick with a classic like Givency. Reading a great book is a transformative experience. Richard Powers’ The Overstory won the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction. We won’t give anything away, but it’s far from predictable.

Miranda Kerr continues to be one of the best dressed women in Hollywood. A true luxe girl after our own hearts, the Australian beauty doesn’t seem to set a foot wrong. She’s also a super dedicated mom and boss lady. Next time you’re at Sephora, check out her skincare line, Kora Organics. It’s packed with super foods, like Noni.
