Reminder for those going out for Halloween!
You know what? I am hungarian, please feel free to get inspired by my culture and use it for a costume :) I want to see people acknowledging my culture, our existence, and maybe make fun of it, because it’s ALRIGHT. Dress up as a huszár or a betyár and use totally noncoherent words to imitate my language, it’s okay, because it’s for fun. Not to disrespect me, but to have fun, to enjoy being some else you couldn’t be on the other days.
Or if you say it’ abusive and disrespecting please don’t wear a costume at all, because no matter what you wear anyone have the right to be angry about that. You wanted to cosplay someone? Too bad, that is their culture, their existence, so YOU AREN’T ALLOWED.
This post is about native regalias and how NATIVES feel about people “dressing” up as us. Don’t ramble on my post. Respect us or get out.
