What do you even say on a day like today....? If only any of us could have possibly anticipated how fast time would go and how fragile life truly is, we would never stop pursuing our dreams and we would always always seize the day. Day by day we go on, full of fear and anticipation of the future and before you know it a year has passed. Never stop pursuing God, seize the day JUST DO IT already... Because you never know when it will be your last. We love you curt and Kota, I've thought of you everyday for a year... Your lives were too short thank you for getting as much out of your years that you possibly could. You touched more lives than you could possibly know.... And you still are. #1john4:4 #curtandkota ... To the Gonzalez, Orlowski an Laura families: we love you and we're still standing with you. (at we love you)
This picture explains it all. Haha, my mom was probably terrified to let go.Her first kid to get married, ( at 19! Yet.) --the jokes on me mom haha you should have been worried. But I'm here and happily married almost 4 years later...!!🎉 My parents through everything have given us everything they have. I have never felt anything but insane amounts of love from them. I'm so thankful for the way they've raised us to be the person I am today. My mom about died praying for me before I got married... Haha and not one prayer was wasted. I know now more than ever that being a parent is a role and huge responsibility that doesn't end when your kids turn 18. I respect and love my parents more and more everyday for how much they have done and do for us. I owe you guys everything! Thanks for always seeking God and growing in your relationship with Him and encouraging us to do the same, your hard work has not been in vain! Love you!
This beautiful disaster
And what we don’t realize is deep down we secretly like pain. It’s for the same reason we chew a canker sore, or pick our gums. It’s for the same reason we’ll go skydiving or ride a roller coaster. It’s for the same reason we will watch a love story, or a movie so realistic it makes us cry. It’s for the same reason we fight in relationships, or we struggle so hard to keep out of them when deep down inside it’s all we really want. It’s an addiction.
Because the reality is, if you agreed with one of the above, were all the same. These things, although different in their own way, remind us that were alive. They make us feel just as alive as any natural bliss can remind us that were here, were alive and all of this is real.
I try to admire most things in life, and most times I see beauty. You see beauty, until you’re knee deep and the cutting cold makes you shiver. And then I laugh, you know why? Because my sin of choice is complaining, but when I really think about it I realize- maybe that’s why some pains exist. That’s why even good things exist…to remind us. Through life’s ups and downs, it’s beautiful to just be anything at all.

Kacie
Pray for the Gonzalez, Orlowski and Lara family today. Hug your loved ones closer, #livealifethatmatters. 💜
I'm inspired by life. I'm inspired by the struggle ...by the chaos. I'm inspired by laughter. ...love, joy, peace. I'm inspired by the natural human tendency to always want more to the point of needing it. I'm inspired by hunger. ...my need and desire for Jesus. May today and tomorrow be days inspired by joy. A natural remedy to cleanse the soul. To be human and have control issues is unnecessary. We control nothing. ...we control our eternity. And no matter how far away you seem- don't think for one second I didn't hear your laugh. Your low, slow chuckle. And yet still, in some sick and twisted way, you were right there with us. I miss you. And yet I still don't see how anybody would want this journey to end. My goodness, it's just begun. With love, Kacie
Coffee isn't Food
I think we all can agree when I say that breakfast is the MOST Important meal of the day. Not only does it offer a nice jump start to our day, energizing us and speeding up our metabolism, it is also the tastiest (fact; not opinion. :D)
On a daily basis, I wake up, make myself a cup of coffee and get ready for work -OR- get ready for work and make my way to Tim Hortons (more than likely the latter,) making myself late for work. But honestly, coffee is the most important part of my day. I cannot go without. No matter how I spell it, I wake up late, drink coffee and I'm late to work. Rarely is there a time when I wake up and decide, I'm going to be good to my body and myself and take the opportunity to nourish my body with the most important meal of the day.
I had the morning off, so today I made myself a nice omelet. ^^^ As I drank my tea and dug into my (delicious, I must say) eggs and veggies, It got me thinking... out of everything in life, making sure I eat breakfast, probably isn't in my top 10 of "the most important things I have to accomplish." If I don't even take time out for THAT, how many other "most important things" am I missing out on? How many times am I going through my "day to day" routine (wake up, drink, work, repeat,) and not taking a second glance (or forgetting) my most important relationships and priorities? How often do I wake up and repeat my day "as a "christian"" knowing Jesus, but never really taking the time to nourish and feed my relationship with Him.
Now I realize that this is a silly metaphor, but it does hold some truth. One day I was at my pastors house and she offered me some food, I politely declined and responded "It's okay, I have my coffee." A friend that was in the room (with exclamation!) responded "COFFEE ISN'T FOOD!" And I never put two and two together that she was right (thanks Alissa! :D) While coffee curbs your appetite, and gives you a little kick start, it's all fake. It doesn't and CAN'T fully satisfy you! We can really only go so long on just coffee before we really need a meal. Not only that, eventually we crash, it makes us MORE tired and more hungry.
Our relationship with Christ is the same way. We need Him and we know only He can only truly satisfy, but were pushing him out. Settling for the label of being a christian, maybe going to church every week, and praying to Him. We can know that He's there, but unless we really take the time to sit down, form our life around HIM and truly nourish and fill ourselves with the love and relationship of our Father...our life will eventually feel empty. We cannot truly grasp and live out the TRUE and REAL blessings of the father unless were taking the time to have a real and true connection with Him and really sowing into our relationship with him. Coffee is yummy, settle for MORE.
Life is more than just living day to day. Get connected with the holy spirit and love and passion of Jesus. LIVE ON PURPOSE. We each have a purpose, maybe we're just not giving it the attention that it needs and deserves?
Yours truly,

My 5 year plan.
We, as human beings, have been bread into a certain way of legalistic thinking. Black and white, right and wrong- and through all of this there is always a right and a wrong answer. Through this "logic" I have come to know a life where perfection is key, and trying to map out each step of my life is truly the answer. Anything goes out of place, something happens you don't expect.... QUE (Anxiety (always leading to stress induced stomach aches,) headaches and truly NOT relying on God (because what does that guy know anyway??<< am i right am I right??))
Actually no. That statement couldn't be more wrong. In FACT God is more with the "times" than people think. In fact, I'm learning more and more everyday that God, is pretty stinkin' (what the youngsters are calling "Thug") if you ask me. God does what He wants. Because God cares about us more than we care about ourselves, which if we're being honest, some days do WE even care??
The day was...I don't know- like 2 days ago. I was doing what most young "Christian" girls do, scrolling through Pinterest and pinning a whole lot of bible verses into my "He is Faithful" pin board. Feeling super inspired by all the Christianize quotes I was getting I "accidentally" stumbled upon a verse in Hebrews.
"By faith Abraham, when called to go to a place he would later receive as his inheritance, obeyed and went, even though he did not know where he was going." Hebrews 11:8
This got me thinking, so i didn't stop there; I kept reading. Reminding me of a time a few years ago where I was in a similar situation and God had used this verse to inspire me, I went on a man hunt a.k.a "Verse hunt..." Which "coincidentally" was just a few verses down the street:
"By faith Abraham, when God tested him, offered Isaac as a sacrifice. He who had embraced the promises was about to sacrifice his one and only son, even though God had said to him, “It is through Isaac that your offspring will be reckoned.” Abraham reasoned that God could even raise the dead, and so in a manner of speaking he did receive Isaac back from death." Hebrews 11:17-19
Not only was Isaac not supposed to exist, Abraham's whole "destiny" was supposed to be sought out through Isaac!! Everything, absolutely EVERYTHING that God had promised Abraham was about to die, through Isaac, and God wasn't even the one doing it. God told Abraham to do it. To sacrifice not only everything that he had ever wanted, but everything that God had promised him.
Now, Abraham could have done what a lot of people, including myself, do. Question God, question their ability to hear from HIM, put it off on something else, or simply say "I know this is what God wants, but I'm just not going to give up what I see, what I want, and what my perfection seeking human brain can obtain." But he didn't. He went to sacrifice Isaac, knowing that through faith, if this is what God wanted than even God could raise him from the dead.
Real Talk Time:
I say this now, because I know there are things I have in my life, that I don't lay on the alter everyday. I'm at a moment in my life, where I feel like I'm going nowhere. I don't have a plan, I feel like I have no future, no success to look forward to. I'm done with my job, with my everyday schedule and I think "GOD!!!! I've always been told I have a destiny, a future, a promise from You! I've always been told I'm destined for greatness..." And if this is YOU, like me, you ARE. God is ready to give those things to you, but if you can't lay everything you've ever wanted down at the alter, if you keep guarding and planning your life out for perfection. If you can't possibly imagine a life, no matter what it may look be like, only being fulfilled by God. You have to give it up. YOU HAVE TO GIVE IT UP, because HE can't come in, until you give Him permission.
God cares about you, He wants wants whats best for you. He is willing to go wherever it takes, even Pinterest, to get your attention. But you have to listen. When He calls, gives your heart little tingles, when you know it's God- you have to answer. Even when it doesn't make sense. Because God doesn't look like a cookie cutter. He looks like whatever he wants, when you need it, at the exact time you need it. So if you have peace follow it, especially when you're afraid.

It felt good to send these lanterns into the sky. You don't realize what you have until it's gone. And it makes you want to hold on tighter to what you do have. Through tears we said goodbye to Dakota, and through laughter we imagined heaven, also accidentally hitting a seagull with our fire lantern and how much Dakota and Lucas would have loved that. Goodbye little buddy. I can honestly say it's been a pleasure being your neighbor, probably watching you in Thursday school with my mom, watching you grow up and just knowin you in general. Enjoy the journey in heaven buddy! I'll be seeing you...
Sometimes saying goodbye is hard. Many times when we say goodbye, we mean see you later Expecting to see the person again, other times we don't know when we'll meet again. But It's goodbyes like these that take true faith to say, even through uncontrollable tears. Death is to deep a thing to simply discover. Asking God searching for answers, something anything to make this pain go away. And there he was, Jesus. It was Jesus hanging on the cross. Reminding me that I won't always know the answers, just simply put that he has the victory. With JESUS every goodbye is a see you later, through him. So here's to you Dakota and Curt. It's hard, but I can't imagine where you two are that you would ever want us to mourn... But to simply look forward to the journey in paradise. #seeyoulater #jesussaves #salvation (at Downtown Mackinaw City Mi)
Looks good enough to eat, almost too good.... Too bad it's not real?? Say what? Yup. This is just art, created by my incredible sister @abigailblayer literally the best artist I know. Truly spectacular the talent she has!! #foodcoma #art #artist #foodart
Happy birthday to this scrub. We've been through so much together and I literally love him with all of my heart... Sometimes I forget that I'm his elder 😉😉 (that was for you babe!) I'm continually learning and growing with him everyday... One of the many blessing of being married! I love you and I look forward to many many years by your side. Happy 22nd bb!!
Looking back on this picture now makes me laugh, smile, haha and cry! People say "YOLO" all the time not truly grasping that there are times and memories that only happen once that you'll never get back again. My baby sister is graduating! Today is her lat day of school and I'm so proud of her! You don't realize how fast time goes until you hit a fork in the road as big as this one. She has truly been molded into a beautiful woman of God and I'm excited to see where God is ready to take her. For young people high school is the best time of your lives, constantly living each moment like your never gonna get these days back... But for someone who's a little grown out of high school, chin up @abigailblayer and the class of 2014. The best is yet to come.
I'm so fancy. #michiganawesome
