#28 Go to a Cat Cafe

Cats are amazing. i love animals, i love all animals expect the slimy ones. But everyone who knows me knows i have a special place for the furry friends. I have one cat myself who’s 4 years now. So i wanted to go to a Cat Cafe, and the one i decided on was Koneko, located in downtown NYC it’s claim to fame is the first Japanese Cat Cafe. It’s close to the F, J , Z, . I didn’t get a chance to eat anything but the Chai latte was really good. SO now the cats. You have to take your shoes off before you go inside and i would say there were about 9 cats in the top floor. It was so great they all slowly come over to you so you can slowly pet them. They have one cat whop i didn’t catch his name but he has a stump tail and hes absolutely adorable and honestly super playful. and they love you, they like circle around you and its a really cute thing. I had a great time.

#46: Eat Korean BBQ

This was a fun one. I’ve been avoiding going to a Korean BBQ place for quiet awhile now. Actually all of high school so I finally gave it a chance. The place we went to was on Northern Blvd in Queens,NY the name has absolutely skipped my mind. BUT I do know I ordered jjamppong which is like a spicy noodle soup with like a million different seafood’s. It had clams shrimps, octopus, literally everything from the ocean basically and it was really good.. The spice level wasn’t obnoxious but after a little bit you finally feel the redness of your nose, but it’s a pleasant feeling. I went with Salman, my friend from elementary school. He definitely added to the experience because of his cooky ways of telling jokes and talking about life.  Had a great time and one thing of the list !

Would I go again? meh maybe not to the same place, but I will be ordering that soup for sure. It’s good to go out and try new foods is a great experience. It’s good to experience a different culture. Sure we have noodles too but so do the 300+ other countries in the world, and seeing how everyone has created something different in each one is an astonishing and humbling realization.

Note: I was reading this while at work and i think this line really got me. The realization that through out his life he hosted party after party in which people he didn’t even know would attend with out even the courtesy to introduce themselves. But sadly no one came to the funeral. Its one of my biggest fear.. if i was being quiet honest.

#29: Watch the Christmas spectacular.

Christmas in New York City is unlike any other. Don’t take my word for it just come and visit the Rockefeller Tree, Stake in Bryant park, or just walk along Park avenue which we all know is adorned with wreaths, trees, lights, and merry spirit in every corner… okay maybe not every corner. It’s hard to see the Christmas spirit in a native New Yorker’s face after having to fight through tourists on their way to work. HOWEVER, I stand by my claim: Christmas in New York City is just something else. Being born and raised in Queens to a Muslim family, and a somewhat, kind of practicing Muslim myself I never went out to take part in these activities. My mom didn’t care for the tree, or the lights. She never took us ice-skating, and definitely not to the Christmas Spectacular Show.

So today I took myself. Radio City Music Hall is not only a beautifully built building but as you walk in through the doors, you’re greeted by a gorgeous grand main entry. I’m talking royal red, gold, and chandeliers. Old school Hollywood Grand Musical entrance, its absolutely breathtaking. My seats were in the Orchestra section Row G seat 214 and the ticket was maybe a rough 80 $ but I’m telling you the show was an hour and a half of worth it. A stage of the world famous Rockets, about 30 Santas prancing around, stacks of presents, stage presence that will blow your mind away, and honestly if I could I would give a standing ovation to the lights, and action directions. Absolutely amazing. I went alone, but I had a wonderful time. If you’re out and about in New York during December and first couple of days of January, make sure you stop by. This is New York history, this is production and it is certainly purely magic.

PS: The last picture is some friends from high school, we went to go see The Revenant, honestly a really slow movie, but it has some parts that make you cringe and wanna cry at the same time. would watch again.

January 1st 

HAPPY NEW YEAR. I took these selfies at 12:00AM on the dot, into the 2016 year. Goals: be as happy and as confident as I look in these pictures. Achieve greatness, dispense garbage and baggage, and in general to make this an extraordinary year for no one else but myself.
