I’ve Photographed Dragons in Wales. Just Not at Weddings (Yet)
I’ve already photographed dragons in Wales. Not at weddings, though. Not yet.
They were resting quietly near a castle, minding their own business. Neither of them seemed too interested in posing — which, to be fair, I fully respect.
Now I’m travelling across South Wales, photographing weddings instead — documenting real moments across the region in my work as a South Wales wedding photographer.
So far, no dragons have made an appearance. Just people. Real ones. Laughing, talking, sometimes slightly lost in the day, sometimes completely present.
And that’s more than enough.
Because the interesting part isn’t whether something looks extraordinary. It’s whether it feels real.
Weddings don’t need mythical creatures to be memorable. They already are — just in quieter, less obvious ways.
So I keep photographing what’s actually there. Moments that don’t ask for attention, but stay with you anyway.
And yes… still keeping an eye out for a dragon.
