Can you still dream amidst destruction? I'm trying
My name is Yousef, a 17-year-old from northern G@za, one of the most dangerous places on earth. War has taken everything: our safety, stability, and health. What should have been a time for me to focus on my high school exams has turned into a daily struggle for survival.
My elderly father can no longer work, and my mother, a lawyer, lost the law office she built with years of hard work. Now, she spends her days cooking over a fire and washing clothes by hand.
We’ve been displaced multiple times. Hunger, danger, and disease are constant. Food is scarce, clean water is rare, and medicine is hard to find. Life in northern G@za is unbearable, but we endure.
Before the war, I was a dedicated student, dreaming of a brighter future. But now, my school is gone, my friends scattered, and my dreams seem distant.
Despite everything, I refuse to give up. I dream of returning to school and rebuilding our lives.
We’re not asking for much—just enough to survive and maybe, just maybe, a chance for me to study again.
