Youth Town Hall: AMPLIFYING YOUTH VOICE IN SACRAMENTO

The Youth Town Hall is one in a series of opportunities for Sacramento Youth to stand up and speak out in issues that are important to them. On May 13th, young people are invited to speak with Mayor Darryl Steinberg and other elected officials on important needs and issues that matter to young people.

This is an opportunity to exercise your civic responsibility and voice your preference for certain policies, ideas, and issues.

Election time is one week away! We need your help in getting the attention of our nation’s leaders! #OYUVoterChallenge is a campaign aimed to help lift your voice. For young people under the age of 18 , use this message as a way to bring awareness for your community and the impact this election has on our nation.We need you to participate in the #OYUVoterChallenge by taking the pledge!

How can I get involved? Do one of the two below.

On November 8th voters will have to make decisions that will affect their communities, families and futures. The outcomes of these elections will impact the young people in every town and city across the nation—even though many can’t vote. We urge those who can to VOTE and to use this guide to help determine where candidates stand on issues that are important to young people.
