so basically in the Tool assisted speedrun of a mario 64 level to get one star the machine takes mario so far out of bounds he ends up in an area called a 'parallel universe' which is essentially the level but entirely invisible and uses that area to lift up a scuttlebug before bouncing off of it to get to a star to complete the level.
