I’ve had to relearn the meaning of kindness
Being kind does not mean putting others before yourself. You can be kind and be assertive. For me, it has been a difficult thing to balance. Overthinking, people pleasing and caring about what others think has gotten in the way. Are you really kind if you can’t even be kind to yourself?

True self
As I embark this new journey of self growth I continually face a reoccurring thought. “How do I evaluate my true self?”
Is an individual evaluated by their beliefs or their presented characteristics and behaviors? and what does one do when they are both contradicting?
Let’s say you believe the true you is someone kind, energetic and passionate. You feel it in your soul that, that in fact is you.
the issue here is that things have occurred to hide those true pieces of yourself so now you act like nothing but the opposite.
what does that make you?
Are you really kind if you aren’t expressing kindness?
now let’s say you are asked if you possess a certain personality trait but it’s only situational?
do you truly possess that personality trait?
the overthinking does not stop ..

You’ll think you have it all figured out
In life there will be moments where you think you have it all figured out but I've learned to never get comfortable with the chapter you are in.
Life has a way of doing things. One moment you'll let out a sigh of relief only to realize you’ve encountered a different conflict. You see, sometimes the conflicts will be caused by others or unexpected situations that will cause stress but the ones the have hit me like a train going full throttle have been the conflicts I've encountered within myself. Everything is good. You SHOULD be happy but everything internally will feel like it’s going south. I think the key is to find what truly makes you happy. Only then will you learn to come to terms with yourself. Focus on your wants, your needs. Forget about what is expected, forget about the material, and forget about the norms and most importantly forget about everyone else's needs. In the end it’s you&yourself against the world. -Find what makes you happy
Why? why is it that in life you have moments where your confidence is up to the moon and others where you feel like you aren't worth a penny. How can you feel that confident year round? What is the secret?
HELP
I have learned that I have no patience. I give my all and expect the same immediately and If I don't receive the same I won't quit giving. I keep giving but then begin bitching or doing things I know I shouldn't just cause I am unhappy with what I am receiving, why? Then when the person is ready to give it becomes something that feels like a chore to them. Who's in the wrong here? Why is this a reoccurring situation for me? What is the universe trying to teach me?
Personal lessons
My fear is that now that I've shown you that I give without receiving much is that you'll do the same that the people from my past did and give bare minimum knowing I still will give my all. Now that you saw me complaining and bitching about what I need will you even give it? Will I still deserve it after I pulled away because of what I didn't receive.
Who knows.
