People complain we make the same points over and over but when you can’t even be sure the person you’re talking to understands simple things like “homosexuals are attracted to the same sex” or “women are oppressed and have been so since forever and that shouldn’t happen” or “US and the UK are not the only places on Earth” or “if you personally feel misogyny is not a thing it doesn’t make it not real for the vast majority of women” you have to start with the basics every single time. It’s so tiring, especially irl.
Terfs only talk about one thing, and that’s hating trans women
Like even in our own spaces you don’t talk about misogyny in other parts of the world unless it’s a dig at trans women.
Like some MRA using the middle East to explain why feminism/lgbtq rights is stupid in the first world
Only talking about hating anyone is unbelievably evil.
I mean that literally. It’s not a believable claim. Because it’s not actually true.
TERF is a misnomer to start with, because radical feminism only excludes males (transmen are female, they’re included even if they reject their birth sex), but your strawmen really take the cake.
Radfems talk about women’s issues. It just so happens that lately, trans right activists have been going against everything feminists have fought for (sex-based rights and protections, societal awareness that gender is a set of stereotypes and not a guide for people’s lives). And trans right activists are now appropriating women’s language and oppression, erasing women (even when it comes to giving birth, a female-only experience, official documents are getting scrubbed out of anything that mentions women).
But even then, that’s not all they talk about. Again, radfems talk about women’s issues. All issues, not just trans-related ones.
Centering female people is feminism. Lying about feminists isn’t.
Radfems think Hungary is fighting for women’s rights
and think Karen is a slur worst than the n word
you are NOT radical
you are white boomers
also “(((trans right activist))) are trans right activists are now appropriating women’s language and oppression, erasing (white) women”
