Do you really think drinking is going to make your problems go away? Every night you decide to go straight to the bar after work— I’ve spent the day doing something productive with my time. Allowing myself to feel my feelings. Letting my emotions flow through me. But keep telling me you’re trying to find yourself again. It’s not going to happen with another drink down. I know you won’t get there soon. I see you slowly chipping away at yourself. It makes me sad. You don’t look full of life. And while neither do I— I’m still making the effort to choose you every day. To choose us. To choose myself.
