Re-drew this scene from the manhwa
Kishiar is the realest character cuz yeah,if Yuder told me what to do, I'd do it.Whatever you say gorgeous 🥰🥰
theres a specific kind of poignancy that i majorly fuck with in kishiar's feeling of helplessness when faced with yuder's resolve. when yuder resolutely moves and fights forward even if his body is shredded apart, and kishiar who truly could do nothing but offer his best supports because he couldn't afford to stop yuder, he couldn't afford to cage him in just for his own greed for yuder's safety, as he had put it himself. that's why i've thought of the most extreme scenario to throw my favorite blondie into:
if the situation calls that yuder finds it necessary to sacrifice himself to save the world in a literal sense, how would kishiar act?
if the stakes were too high and there was very little to no wiggle room, how would kishiar act? because honestly, i think kishiar isn't someone who can just set aside aand dismiss other people for his love, even if he had declared his support for world domination. kishiar cares a lot, and while yuder is his most cherished, he is not the only person that he cherishes, so i don't think a "let the world burn" would be his solution. not unless he truly has no one else left and if the world has disappointed him enough, at least. best case scenario i can think of is actually him letting go, in a sense that he'll respect yuder's devotion to the cause and deals with his pain on his own later down the line. but i like thinking of the dissuation and desperation that definitely happens in the process before that unfortunate acceptance.
it's a classic dilemma of bay vs bae, one life vs many others. kishiar would absolutely loathe even the idea of comparing the value of lives, but im here to put him in various emotional torture chambers so....
(i'd say maybe it wouldn't be so bad because yuder too would actively look for another way to avoid having to leave kishiar, but also we all know yuder's self-sacrificial tendencies when he thinks that it's truly needed and it truly matters)
Because Kishiar's birthday is coming up fast I set the duel to the side to quickly capture how I picture Kishiar's birthday would go 🥰 here's a sneak peek
The Tain family's single minded obsession trait can be traced all the way back to the first Duke Blake van Tain. So who do you think the Orr imperial family's downbadism for their beloveds can be attributed to?
A. The First Emperor who died in the arms of his no homo bestie
B. The First Empress who hand sculpted a statue of her husband who died in the arms of his no homo bestie
Bullying our local clown again
This is just called ‘Pretty Yuder’ in my art app. I don’t have the brain cells to argue against that.
This is the finished reel (the one I mentioned in my last post)! Tysmmm for everyone who responded to that post and provided me amazing quotes to help me create this 🫶🫶 I had so much fun making this!! Like whilst making this I locked in like I never have before and was like checking the comments from my previous post on my phone whilst also pulling up the actual turning chapters to find the quotes and also typing them out into procreate for the reel lmfaoo. It genuinely felt like this:
each time enon pulls yuders cheeks in the novel an angel grows wings.
Early Kishiyu was such a vibe. I honestly miss the mutual edging they were doing, especially on Yuder's end (though he was mostly unintentional). The way Yuder was in absolute denial while simultaneously being in awe of Kishiar, and the way Kishiar was so intrigued and turned on by him.... *chef's kiss*
Currently working on the Nathan × Yuder duel illustration and doing heavy research into descriptions of emblems and objects for it and dying because there isn't anything more than "multipronged flames" when describing the Paletta Duchy's emblem or the Paletta Knights emblem. I've been looking for days and I think I have to pull out my design skills from college and make one myself 😭😭😭
I was just thinking about how Yuder is canonically pretty above average in looks, and actually makes people pause a little when he dresses himself up (read as dressed up by Kishiar), it brought me back to when Kishiar locked onto Yuder pretty much the moment he saw him. It got me jokingly thinking about how Kishiar has this "diamond in the rough" people detection skill or something. He invests and takes interest in people before they reach the great extent of their individual skill, like he knows they'll do great in whatever they do. Like how he insisted in bringing Nathan to his swordmanship classes when he was a child, eventually leading to Nathan becoming a Swordmaster, or how he saved and invested in Mick Shuden, eventually bringing about a largely successful merchant-based business. It was like the moment Kishiar saw Yuder he was like "oh he's gonna be pretty."
The dialogue between Yuder and Kanna in chapters 565 and 566 looks something like this in my head 😄
this is what i imagine when yuder glares at someone for disrespecting the commander
The four horsemen of cavalry (no pun intended)
