BIG DATA~ Real-world application and use of big data
Big Data means many many huge data in the internet. Nowadays, you can search the information in the internet, we don’t need to find a book in library. You can watch the news in website, no need to buy the newspaper. All the things are convenience for us. In this generation, Web 2.0 and Web 3.0 is very popular, so we can share the information and data through different media easily, such as YouTube, we can upload the video online and share it. Do you know how many videos are uploading in YouTube per a second? According to a technology’s news website, it told : On YouTube, they use 1 minute to cope with 60 hours video uploading. That mean, they only use 1 second to cope with 1 hour video. It is very very very HORRIBLE. As a result, it makes the data very BIG and the sampling very HUGE!
Then, the big data is useful but it also MESSY. The data is messy which mean it makes the information inexact and inaccurate. We take an example in google image, i searched “noodle” in google image, it showed some photos which isn’t about noodle. We can see the picture below, it showed some cartoons in the result. Do you know why the result inexact? Because there are too many data in the internet, everyone can upload their image, information, data... in the internet. Also, it is not enough monitoring and supervision. Therefore, it caused the data messy and inexactness. There is a tip for you guys. Although the internet is convenient and useful, you need to filter the information and check the accuracy. Be A Smart User~
Besides, Big data is very SPEEDY. Now, you search the information in Google is very simple and easy. You only type the word you gonna search, then it provide millions of result in a second. In the picture, i searched “big data” in Google, it offered 793,000,000 results for me, and it only took 0.39 second to seek. It is speedy and fast. But I believed that not all the results are useful for me, so i need to leach the useless data. By the way, Big Data is Fast!
Then, Big data is Convenient. In our class, i think some of the classmates was passing the driving examination, Right? Have you lost during driving? So what would you do? I think all of you would open a GPS App and search the correct direction ^^ GPS App is an example of Big data. In the App, you can search the road and direction. Some of the App also provide the actually happening information on the road. Also, some apps may tell you about where have the machine of velocity measurement. So it is very popular and functional for the driver. And all these data are coming from the Big Data! So Big data is Convenient
I reckon that Big data is good and utility for us. A tip for you: you need to filter the information and data in the internet because not all the data is correct and accurate so you should think about the accuracy.
