I love watching the comedy so i always find some funny video in Youtube. This is one of the favorite channel for me~ It calls “Just For Laughs Gags”. They post many funny videos here and there is no any dialogue, only acting. you can relax yourself :) Hope you guys enjoy watching this :) Laugh :)

This week i discuss the topic about “What opportunities and/or challenges are online communities bringing for brands” ~
Online communities means there is an internet platform for a group of people who are sharing the same interest/experience/conviction. I reckon that all of my classmates in class to have at least one online community. For me, i join the member in MMD which is a fan club for the popular singer Mayday~ In this online community, i can share my opinion and view about the Mayday, and the other fans would chat it together. Also, the fans always share the update news and information in the forum so i can know and get the information easily. For me, i think the most good thing for this online community is i can find my friend who are sharing the same interest with me, and i feel glad.
There are many opportunities are bringing for brands~ ~Extend the information easily : The brand can upload the information and news in their online community so all of their fans/people can know it very easily and directly.
~Enhance the brand’s awareness: In the community, the brand can upload their product information, detail, brand’s information, views......etc etc etc. It can enhance the awareness and consciousness for the consumer.
Then, the challenges are bringing for brands~
~ Different to handle the malicious libel and extend the negative news very fast: In the internet, everyone can share their comment and opinion so there are many big data occur in the internet.(haha~) Also, we can’t control what people say. So, if some people share some negative feeling and view through the online community, it would extend it very fast and difficult to handle and control. As a result, it would have some negative impression for the brand.
Be a smart internet user :) And search a group which is sharing the common interest/ experience/ conviction with you :)

BIG DATA~ Real-world application and use of big data
Big Data means many many huge data in the internet. Nowadays, you can search the information in the internet, we don’t need to find a book in library. You can watch the news in website, no need to buy the newspaper. All the things are convenience for us. In this generation, Web 2.0 and Web 3.0 is very popular, so we can share the information and data through different media easily, such as YouTube, we can upload the video online and share it. Do you know how many videos are uploading in YouTube per a second? According to a technology’s news website, it told : On YouTube, they use 1 minute to cope with 60 hours video uploading. That mean, they only use 1 second to cope with 1 hour video. It is very very very HORRIBLE. As a result, it makes the data very BIG and the sampling very HUGE!
Then, the big data is useful but it also MESSY. The data is messy which mean it makes the information inexact and inaccurate. We take an example in google image, i searched “noodle” in google image, it showed some photos which isn’t about noodle. We can see the picture below, it showed some cartoons in the result. Do you know why the result inexact? Because there are too many data in the internet, everyone can upload their image, information, data... in the internet. Also, it is not enough monitoring and supervision. Therefore, it caused the data messy and inexactness. There is a tip for you guys. Although the internet is convenient and useful, you need to filter the information and check the accuracy. Be A Smart User~
Besides, Big data is very SPEEDY. Now, you search the information in Google is very simple and easy. You only type the word you gonna search, then it provide millions of result in a second. In the picture, i searched “big data” in Google, it offered 793,000,000 results for me, and it only took 0.39 second to seek. It is speedy and fast. But I believed that not all the results are useful for me, so i need to leach the useless data. By the way, Big Data is Fast!
Then, Big data is Convenient. In our class, i think some of the classmates was passing the driving examination, Right? Have you lost during driving? So what would you do? I think all of you would open a GPS App and search the correct direction ^^ GPS App is an example of Big data. In the App, you can search the road and direction. Some of the App also provide the actually happening information on the road. Also, some apps may tell you about where have the machine of velocity measurement. So it is very popular and functional for the driver. And all these data are coming from the Big Data! So Big data is Convenient
I reckon that Big data is good and utility for us. A tip for you: you need to filter the information and data in the internet because not all the data is correct and accurate so you should think about the accuracy.

Web 1.0, 2.0 and 3.0 :) Science and Technology is still improving and developing nowadays. I think all of you are also agree that statement, right? HAHA~ We can take an example: Apple mobile. From IPhone 3G to now IPhone 6S, all the things are getting improve and enhance in the mobile’s abilities. So the web is also expanding its technology skill from 1.0 to 3.0
Web 1.0, it was a Read-Only era. The internet only allowed you to read the information, you could not have any interaction with the other that mean you don’t have Facebook, Youtube, Forum etc... I can’t imagine that. It is quite boring and dull. HAHA~ In the photo, it is an example of web 1.0, the people only type the HTML or program code to share the information, no any other thing you could do. JUST READ ONLY!
Web 2.0, it was a Read-Write-Publish era. The science was reforming which mean you could interact with the other on the Internet. I reckon that it was a big improvement and it provided more entertainment for the people. In that generation, it was encouraging people to comment and interact in the Internet. In the case of Tumblr, you can read your friend’s blog and give a comment in their post. Also, you can upload your photo, video or text on the web. Therefore, it produces an interaction:) So, it is a BIG enhancement!
Web 3.0, it is a read-write-execute era. It is an intelligent web, it can make search faster and easier. And it is more personalized. It can filter the information for you according to your interest and hobby. Do you know why your Facebook only show the status of the same group of people and some friends’ status never appear in your wall? And why your wall always shows the similar advertising? Because Facebook recorded your interest and the posts which you always read so that your favorite things always show in your wall. Then, Facebook also remember the like which you liked before. For me, i love seeing the posts which about travel. Therefore, Facebook shows the travel advertising for me frequently. So it is a smart web and Internet era! It helps me a lot. Web 3.0 is the intelligent Internet that I have never seen :)

~In what ways can you relate to this course?
Media is an increasing trend in the future. We don’t have any entertainment without media. Also, media narrows the gap between different people, generation and distance so it is related to me. We can’t live without Media.
~What topic(s) in our 13-week schedule are you interested in?
Youtube and Game Culture are the topics which i am interested in. I like watching Youtube during my daily life because there are many different type of videos i can watch, such as make-up, it is fun. :) Why i am interested in Game Culture? Since i love playing different kind of games like PS4 and Online Game. i am enjoyable when i played it.
~What question(s) do you have about new media culture (or the above topics that you are interested) now?
I want to know more how to establish and manage a media platform.
