24 - âI never want you to feel like youâre notgood enough.â
âWell that was fun!â BamBam sighed, throwing his cape ontothe floor and flopping down onto the bed, twirling his crown in his hands.
Yugyeom shut the door behind him, rather loudly, making BamBamjump slightly as he looked up. The younger was facing away from him, untyinghis own knightâs cape before sitting down at the edge of the bed.
âYea, sure,â Yugyeom mumbled, fiddling with the buttons onhis undershirt. BamBam sat up slowly, crawling over to Yugyeom with a smallsmirk on his face. He went to wrap his arms around Yugyeomâs neck from behindwhen the younger suddenly stood up.
âWhat the â â BamBam said, falling forward onto the bed asYugyeom stood up in front of him.
âI bet you had a lot of fun tonight,â Yugyeom said, moreclearly now. He was still fumbling with his buttons and refused to look atBamBam who was now looking up with a confused expression.
âWhat are you talking about?â BamBam asked, sitting up oncemore and looking up at his boyfriend. Yugyeom let out a frustrated groan beforeletting go of the buttons and looking up at BamBam. Immediately, the princecould see frustration in Yugyeomâs eyes; but more than that, he could seesomething else â anger.
âOf course, you had fun, you spent the entire night flirtingwith everyone! All of the consorts, the princesses, even some of the waiters!âYugyeom shouted, his voice wavering. He could feel a lump forming in his throatbut he refused to let the prince see; not when he was finally letting all ofhis inhibitions go for the first time.
âIf you want to be with someone else, then just say so! Ibet all those people out there have more money and status than Iâll ever havein my life!â Yugyeom yelled. âIs that what you want? Someone who has more powerthan me? I know Iâm not royalty, but I thought we had something special. Ithought I was good enough for you! I thoughtâŚâ Yugyeomâs voice caught in histhroat as he finally caught his breath.
He allowed himself to close his eyes as he sat on the edgeof the bed next to BamBam. The prince looked at him with wide eyes, guiltbubbling in his stomach.
âYugyeom, IâŚâ BamBam started reaching his hand out toYugyeomâs shoulder, but Yugyeom startled him by turning towards him abruptly.
âWhy?â he asked, a single tear falling onto his left cheek.His dark hair fell into his eyes as he gazed longingly at BamBam. âWhy am Inot enough for you?â he questioned.
There was a moment of silence as the two looked each other in theeyes. Eventually, BamBam sighed and looked down, gentlyputting his hand over Yugyeomâs clenched fist. Â
âYugyeomâŚIâm so sorry, I didnât know you feltthis way,â he said, looking at the younger. He brought his hand to Yugyeomâschin and turned his gaze towards him.
âI know Iâm a flirt sometimes and I lead peopleonâŚIâm sorry. I didnât mean to make you jealous, really, I didnât. But I neverwant you to feel like youâre not good enough for me. I love you the most.Please believe me,â BamBam stated, earnestly, wiping Yugyeomâs eyes with his hands.
Yugyeom turnedhis gaze, nodded his head, and wiped his eyes before groaning in embarrassment.He hadnât meant to be so blunt. He knew BamBamâs flirtatious personality, butsometimes it was just too much and it made him jealous.
âIâm sorry, I knowâŚI justâŚIâm sorry,â the knightsputtered, brushing his eyes. BamBam scooted closer to him before giving him agentle smile.
âIâm sorry too, so letâs forget about it, okay?â BamBam said,kissing Yugyeomâs cheek before bringing his lips to his ear. âBesidesâŚthis isone of the only nights we get to be together, uninterruptedâŚright?â
