Can we talk about Yukio?

Fandom that I adore, please, please, please, stop ganging up on Yukio and sending out a thousands posts about why he sucks and is evil and even needs to die. There are a lot of people in this fandom who really like/identify with Yukio and it’s making them feel like they’re not welcome.

Do you know how it feels to have one of your favorite characters bashed and feel like even mentioning their name will get the hate turned on you? It’s awful.

I adore Rin, I want to hug him and dry his tears and get him a tissue and patch up all the terrible things in his relationship with Yukio but, and here’s the kicker, Yukio doesn’t want that.

He does not want to hug it out. He wants to be heard. Look at that face in the screenshot above. He can’t believe Rin isn’t getting it. That his twin didn’t notice.

And fandom, we are currently yelling just as loudly as Rin has been for the past couple of chapters because we’re not hearing him either. I love Rin, but somehow he has only just gotten it through his adorably thick head that his twin has been suicidal for a long time now. The signs have been there for ages as you can see in the above image. He’s been faking it for a long time.

You can dislike Yukio, he’s a hard character to like sometimes, but please, please, please, stop bashing on him. Think of the others fans whose feelings you’re hurting.

And also:

Don’t forget that Yukio doesn’t want his twin to die. He wants Rin to live. Wouldn’t it be great if he wanted to live as well?

Yukio with battle scars and maybe an n/sfw scenario where his s/o see them for the first time while they're about to do stuff?

Yukio never really thought about telling his s/o about his body scars

They were various scratches and one or two bites from demons he’s fought on missions

A lot of the ragged scars were along his back and some on his waist. Few were scattered around his arms and legs here and there but they weren’t very noticeable

His s/o had no idea how many scars he had until when one night, things got heated in the bedroom

Yukio and his s/o were for the first time about to sleep with each other

His s/o blindly removes his shirt and doesn’t notice until their fingers brush over his back which was for some reason abnormally bumpy

Once Yukio paused in his actions, his s/o asks about them and Yukio sits a few moments in awkward silence before finally explaining

The insane number of scars

He was a little embarrassed at first and apologetic since he didn’t tell his s/o sooner

His s/o later develops a habit that they kiss or caress his scars as an expression of love and wanting to protect him.

Feels awful the moment he realizes what he’s feeling

Thinks he’s horrible for having such feelings not only because she’s taken but also because he feels (at the moment) like he owes a debt to Mephisto for helping his brother

Doesn’t feel that such feelings are appropriate anyhow because he is a teacher at Mephisto’s academy

May avoid her for a while so he has time to think on it

Soon grows a bit distant from her but still treats her with respect

Does what he can to get his mind and feelings off of her

Treats her like an acquaintance for a long while but still offers to help her with things if she needs

Takes quite a bit of time to be on a social friend level again

Bon:

Like, Yukio, he cannot help but feel guilty for his feelings

I don’t think he’d find his feelings appropriate either but only because she is dating his headmaster

Takes a while to fully compose himself

Acts a little skiddish and awkward around her for a while

Ends up telling himself it isn’t worth to get in the way of their friendship

Or Mephisto of all people

Finally talks normally to her again

May tell her how he feels to keep the friendship fair for the both of them but says he would be more than happy to remain friends and that he respects her wishes

• But one day, he really shocked you

• It was a day where things seemed they weren’t going to look up

• You’ve been having many emotional breakdowns lately and have often just been bursting into tears

• Just feeling depressed over all

• With Yukio being busy all the time, you felt like you couldn’t do much and you didn’t know who else to confide in

• Yukio gets off a mission early and tries calling more than once, but there was no answer, so he headed straight to your place

• The door was shut and you were crying again, Yukio tried calling for you to come and open the door but you kept crying despite the softness in his voice

• After a few moments of silence, Yukio starts humming “I Can’t Help But Falling In Love With You”, making you lift your head a little, cries coming less

• After humming a little, Yukio gently starts singing the lyrics

• His voice brought a warm feeling to your face and you got butterflies in your stomach. You soon calmed down and just listened to him sing to you through the door

• Once he was done, he sent a gentle “I love you and I will always be here for you...”

• With that you slowly open the door and smile sadly at him before he steps into the room and wraps loving arms around you, his hands caressing your back

• Even more so in bed

• Shima loves being in control and sometimes, Yukio hates that

• Despite Yukio’s occasional protests, Shima ends up being dom 99% of the time

• Shima surprisingly can gain control over Yukio when they’re having sex

• “Just relax, sensei~ You’ll feel good soon”

• Takes a while for Yukio to get over being self conscious when they sleep together, but even later on he can’t help but feel shy every time

• Not that he’d openly admit it, but sometimes, Yukio doesn’t mind being dominated

• Shima almost gets slapped because he tries to bring some kinky things to bed, which Yukio ultimately refuses

• The furthest they’ve gone with that was probably the occasional use of a vibrator

• Shima LOVES to tease Yukio during demon mating season, sometimes so much that Yukio gets angry and horny enough to drag Renzo forcefully to his room while Rin is hanging out with the others

• Yukio always blushes darkly when Shima talks dirty in bed and when Shima has him ride him every so often
