Call Today! Week of Action: KOSA vote tomorrow Dec2! Bad Internet bills
This is going to be a very all hands on deck week
⭐Right off the bat, tomorrow Dec 2 ,2205 the House subcommittee on Commerce, Manufactoring, and Trade is holding a hearing to most likely pass the 19-bill package on KOSA & other age verification bills. It will most likely either go to the full house vote after and/OR an attempt to add it to the NDAA. It is VERY IMPERATIVE that we make as much noise as possible ASAP about this and make as many calls to the members of this committee as possible.
We would really appreciate if someone could compile a list of important people here. But in all honesty just call as many people as possible today. Bonus if you can call them all. It won't even take an hour. Use our updated call script here, Feel free to a shorten the message

Republican version
“I am urging you to vote NO on the 19-bill online safety package in the House Energy and Commerce committee. Barely anything in this bill protects kids. Most of these bills are age verification bills, which Republicans and the president opposed in Britain for the fact it mass-censored conservative speech online.
and KoSA or (Kids Online Safety Act, as it’s deceptively called) is included that would be weaponized by unelected bureaucrats to censor Americans and you must wonder why Blumenthal is pushing it so hard. The bill let any state attorney general and the FTC to sue any website for “harmful” content. Including Blue States. Big Tech and credit card companies are already censoring us. That’s why they support KOSA. This is massive government overreach, Do NOT support this package. Thank you.”
Democrat version
“I am urging you to vote NO on the 19-bill online safety package in the House Energy and Commerce committee. Barely anything in this bill protects kids. Most of these bills are age verification bills, which hundreds of human rights groups including the ACLU oppose.
They require verification data be collected from children, which puts their personal data all in one place easily for hackers. A similar system has already caused problems in Britain, putting children at risks.
And the Kosa bill or (Kids Online Safety Act,) allows state attorneys to censor the internet. Do we really want Republican state lawyers deciding what can and can’t be allowed online? w need a bill that actually protects children by creating better security measures instead of more censorship and surveillance.
What parent would want their child’s private data in the hands of strangers like this? Do NOT support this package. Thank you.”
people worry so much about being in a 'flop era'.., but do not realise that to a bunny or perhaps a kitty, a 'flop era' is a beautiful thing... #wise #wisdom
Unfortunately, Kosa is back and trying to make their way back into being relevant and pushed to the House, despite it having opposition and known for being controversial.
A committee markup will take place this week , but please do not panic! It is not the same as an actual vote. Call your House Leadership and the Energy & Commerce Committee and tell them to vote no on KOSA. We stopped it before and we can do it again do not panic or give up💗
