What do you think Celeste's opinion of Chihiro Fujisaki would be? Would they be close friends due to both sharing a secret that causes them to hide their true identities?
To be honest, I think all of them eventually became friends during the two years we never actually see. Based on that group photo image (Fun little thing about it here: https://superduperandyeah.tumblr.com/post/151139855316/i-cant-be-the-only-one-that-wants-to-see-this-pic)
Both of them in particular had similar problems regarding their desire to be percieved in particular ways, and its likely that they would’ve both, over time at least, been able to become more accepting of themselves. That’s seen in that group photo image, with Celestia not actually dressing herself as Celestia, and is the only image where she is actually ok with the photo taking place. In others, she is either distracted at the time and therefore was not aware there was a photo taking place, or hiding in the background, looking away from the camera.
In chihiro’s place, the lil muffin is clearly seen to be more outgoing in that group photo, the 3rd place clearly a big achievement for em. Chihiro is not cowering or small in stature in the photo, but standing tall, proud of their personal growth and sporting achievement. Celestia and Chihiro aren’t really the types to readily discuss their secrets together, but I do believe they would’ve had a mutual understanding of what the other person was going through, and that would’ve helped, albeit in a small way, in them being able to present their true selves to the rest of the class. AAAnnnnnnd then you know what happened.
Oh, but I guess I should put a comedic lil thing in…hmm:
