Not Meant for Each Other with Charot

SETTING:

In the park of Freeridge Village, L.A,  a group of senior students enjoying the summer night with a clear sky full of stars. They are having a group date except for SHAUN and CATHERINE.

   CAST OF CHARACTERS:

 SHAUN: 18yrs old senior student and best friend of Wesley

WESLEY: 19 yrs old senior student, cousin of Catherine and boyfriend of Sherley

CATHERINE: 18 yrs old senior student and best friend of Sheryl

SHERYL: 18 yrs old senior student, girlfriend of Wesley and best of Catherine

ZAPHIANE and ARTHUR: lovers, both 18 yrs old and a senior student. Friends with the others

SAMANTHA and LUCAS: lovers, both 19 yrs old, a senior students and friends with the others.

   Not Meant for Each Other with charot

 ACT1     SCENE1

 The groups of friends are enjoying the view of the star in the clear night sky. They are sitting in a round table. Wesley is seated between Shaun and Sheryl. Shaun on the left and Sheryl on the right. In the right side of Sheryl was Catherine. Sitting next to Shaun are the lovers Zaphiane and Arthur then sitting next to Catherine are the lovers Samantha and Lucas.

 CATHERINE: The sky is really beautiful. The air was also fresh, and cold

         (hugging herself while looking in the night sky)

 SAMANTHA: (looked at CATHERINE and sighed) Hey Cath! (waving her hand to CATHERINE) are you cold?

 LUCAS: Are you alright Cath? (slipped out of SAMANTHA's embrace and gave CATHERINE a jacket)

 CATHERINE: Thank you Lucas... ( took the jacket and put it on) I hope everyone has a hug buddy.

 Everyone looked at Cath and laughed.

 SHAUN: Hug me then…(he mumbled)

WESLEY: Bro (tapped SHAUN on the shoulder) did you say something?

 SHAUN: Nothing buddy, I’m just hungry (stands up) I’m going to buy something (exited on the stage)

 The rest enjoy the scenery of the clear sky. The lovers are hugging their partners to be warmed. While Catherine is enjoying the heat of the jacket. ARTHUR: Hey Wesley, (leaned a little to get closer to WESLEY) I heard what Shaun said before leaving.

 WESLEY: Are you sure bro? what is it then?

 ARTHUR: He said (leaned again and whispered on WESLEY’s ears) ‘hug me then’ when Catherine said something about having hug buddy.

 WESLEY: You are not joking dude? (he asked ARTHUR with a surprised look on his face)

 ARTHUR: I’m not deaf, I heard it clearly.

 SHAUN entered the stage carrying a box with hot soups. He handed it to everyone including CATHERINE.

 Everyone enjoyed the soup and had a little chat. They talked about the exam that they need to take to enter college. The chat shifted into Shaun and Catherine in getting together when Arthur accidentally slipped about what Shaun said earlier.

Sheryl is teasing her best friend while other are asking Shaun if he have feelings for Catherine.

 CATHERINE: Stop it guys, Shaun will never have a feelings for me. Right Shaun (she looked at SHAUN with her eyeballs getting bigger and her eyebrows raised)

 SHAUN: Ahmmm what? (he directly looked into CATHERINE’s eyes)

Everyone cheer because they thought that Shaun have a feeling for Catherine.

  SHAUN: Ohhh yeah- yeah, I never feel something for her. We are not meant to be HA HA HA

 Everyone got disappointed on Shaun’s statement. They return the topic on taking exams. Lucas and Arthur got the beer from their car. They continue the chat while drinking some beers. Moments later, they were a little drunk except Shaun who chugged all the beers.    

 SHAUN: Guys (hiccupped) well…. Ahmm…I ha-have (trying to talk straight) ha-have f-feelings for Cathe-rine. I do like her… I really really like her (pointing his finger to Catherine)

 Everyone was shocked including Catherine, she can’t believe that he likes her too.

 CATHERINE: (cleared her throat before speaking) You’re just drunk Shaun. You don’t like me. You are just drunk. ( look at everyone) hey Lucas drive Shaun home.

 LUCAS: Why me? (pointing himself) okay fine.

 CATHERINE: Everyone let us all go home, besides its getting late. ZAPHIANE: I thought we were going camping, no one will going home.

 SHAUN: I agree, and you (pointed to CATHERINE) is sleeping with me because you are now my girlfriend. Everyone cheered, except Catherine.

 CATHERINE: No! I’m not sleeping with anyone because I’m going home, you’re just drunk that is why you said that.

 SHAUN:  I. AM. NOT. DRUNK (slowly walking towards CATHERINE

CATHERINE: (steps backward) you are obviously drunk.

SHAUN: I said… I AM NOT DRUNK!

CATHERINE: Okay…whatever (she shrugged and left in front of him)

Catherine went to Wesley and Sheryl. She really wants to go home. CATHERINE: Wesley, can you drive me home? WESLEY: Sorry, I promised Sheryl that we will spend the night here. CATHERINE: Its okay, enjoy your night I’ll just call a cab. Catherine booked a cab which will arrived within 30 mins. While waiting someone sit beside her on the bench. She ignored it.

 SHAUN: Can I ride along with you? CATHERINE: Whatever (she move a little to distance herself from SHAUN) SHAUN: About what I have said earlier, it’s true Cath (he held her hand) I really like you, please believe me. I didn’t say it because I’m drunk. I like you Cath, I really do. CATHERINE: (she look on his eyes) I like you too. SHAUN: What? Can you please repeat it. CATHERINE: (rolled her eyes then smile) I said… I like you too Shaun.

A wide smile stretched on Shaun’s face and then he hug Catherine.

Phone Call Confession

Zephier, a 16-year-old senior high school student is busy studying. She is doing the activities that needed to be submitted on next Monday. That night, she is not on the mood to study. She decided to call someone. She dialed the number. ‘The number you have dialed is now unattended or out of coverage---’ the operator said. She dialed it again. ‘The numbe—’ “arghhh! Still unattended, just throw your phone!”. She got even more annoyed. Zephier decided to watch some soothing videos on YouTube. While watching, her phone rang. *I’m a gummy bear, I’m a gummy bear* she immediately answered the call. “Hello po” she said. “Anak, why? Why did you call? How are you?” the person on the other line asked. “I’m fine papa, how ‘bout you po?” Zephier asked. Her father simply answer “Still handsome, your mama is still crazy for me” and chuckled. Zephier slightly laughed “Such a joker pa, HA HA HA” and her father also laughed. “How’s my daughter doing? Do have boyfriend? Yieee HA HA HA” Zephier didn’t answer because she knew that it is impossible to her to have a boyfriend. No one likes her. Well she have crushes but she never see herself to be in a relationship, again. “Hello, anak…Are you still there?”

“Ahmm Papa, I don’t have but I had one…actually I’ve been in a relationship twice hehe” she confessed.

“What? Who are they? When?” het father asked. She doesn’t know how to tell her father that she had a boyfriend and also a girlfriend. She is a bisexual but her parents did not know about it. Maybe its time to tell her father. “Papa, what if I told you that I like girls aaaaannnnd also boy hehe” she nervously said.

“HA HA HA HA, you must be joking anak” her father. She can’t believe that her father would react in that way. She wanted to end the call but her father speak. “If you are happy with, I will also be happy but always remember don’t rush things” Zephier suddenly felt happy, a tear of joy scaped and rush down to her cheeks. She can’t believe that her father accepted her as her. Her father continued to talk and gave her some advices. She is very thankful to have a father who understand and care for her. “Thank you Pa, good night” she said before ending the call

my first blog

Hi! it is my first time to use this site. I’m a 16 yrs old senior high school student. I like dark and vintage themes. I love to read some works that I can learn some lessons. I created this blog as my academic performance in Creative Writing. I am not a talented writer but I already wrote some story at Wattpad. I did not pursue it due to lack of time. And also, I don’t have much confident and always thinking that my stories are not good enough to be read. Because of these insecurities, I deleted my works. Now in my subject, I realize that my works are made because of my creativity and I want to pursue it. I want to share it to you.
