already said this in somebody's tags but the true nightmare horror of pluribus is what if you were 50 years old and then you were suddenly forced to be a teenager again. nobody wants to hang out with you because you're "disruptive" and a threat to the social order and their worldview and actually they're all talking about you behind your back and nobody respects your autonomy or agency and any independence you may have had is taken from you as you're forced to rely entirely on the conditional "kindness" of people who want change and fix you because they believe there is something wrong with the kind of person you are and they all condescendingly talk down to you about how you don't understand how the world works or what you actually want and you should just let them make the decisions for you
