Castanopsis at Nagaizaka slope, Kumano Kodo Ohechi

Nagaizaka slope is a part of Kumano kodo Ohechi pass road from the Wabukagawa village to the Nagai village in Susami-cho. It is a promenade of beautiful natural forest, and azaleas bloom from mid-April to mid-May. The view of the Pacific Ocean (Kareki Nada) is good there. 森の妖精と御神木

瀧神社の杉

三重県熊野市の瀧神社の本殿の前に大きな杉があり、御神木として祀られています。この神社ではバイカオウレンの群生を見ることができ、大杉の足元にもたくさんのバイカオウレンが咲いていました。 三重県熊野市神川町 2022年2月18日撮影 The Japanese Cedar at Taki Shrine There is a large Japanese cedar in Taki Shrine in Mie and it is enshrined as a sacred tree. 三重県熊野市の瀧神社、先日降った雪が残っていたのでバイカオウレンとの共演の写真を撮影しました。

嫉妬深い山の神　A Jealous Mountain God

熊野古道・発心門(ほっしんもん)王子の近くの山中に異形のヒノキがあります。千十檜（せんじゅうひのき）といい、幹はまっすぐ伸びずに、たくさんの枝が暴れるように生えています。 この木は山の神として祀られています。山の神は女性の神で、地域の祭りの時は魚を供えるのですが、きれいな魚だと山の神が嫉妬してしまうので、醜いオコゼを供えていたそうです。 There is a strange cypress in the mountain near Hosshinmon Oji Shrine(part of Kumanokodo). It is enshrined as a mountain god. It is a goddess. People offer fish at the time of festival. 樹齢３０００年の造形美 3000 Year Old Beautiful Texture

奈良県十津川村南部、標高1,076mの玉置山の九合目にある玉置神社の境内には、多くの巨杉が立ち並んでいます。

その中でもこの神代杉は樹齢3000年の古木で、その老齢が作り出す樹形美のため、他の杉を圧倒しています。

There are many large Japanese cedars at Tamaki Shrine in Nara, but this tree stands out from other trees due to the beautiful shape of old age.
