I’m very glad that Ren was able to live as normal a childhood as possible. She got to go to school and form friendships, and I’m glad Ai didn’t prevent those relationships. She is a Hunter’s daughter and I do look forward to seeing this side of Ren. I wonder how she overcame her desire for Ai’s blood, and I want to see what fueled it because I don’t think she has a sexual/romantic attraction to her sister at all. Especially when Hino shows that she was sensitive to Ai’s feelings, of needing a companion, before she could even speak. I think it’s just the deep connection she has with her sibling, almost as if they were twins. It reminded me of the analogy Hino used for Zero and Ichiru, of becoming one.
