[Hey guys,

First off I am SO SORRY about my absence. Truth be told my muses have just been deader than door knobs and I haven't had the slightest idea on how to get them back. On top of that, I start school tomorrow.

However, I haven't abandoned my blogs, not yet. Though I just need a little time to get my mind up and running again. Creative juices and all. I have everyone I owe drafted, but if you'd like my skype feel free to PM me.

"I've been thinking. Now don't get me wrong I love my job and how much I make from it, but sometimes I wonder about where I'd be if my parents weren't total fuckheads, you know? I was always pretty good in science and math, maybe I could have been a kickass engineer. Or maybe I could have been a professional athlete because I how fast I am." He sighed, rolling over on the couch. "I dunno, I like my life where it is now, but it's still interesting to imagine. ..But, y'know, you just gotta roll with the punches I guess. Which is what I'm pretty fucking good at doing nowadays."

"I don’t need a reliable worker if I can handle most jobs on my own," he responded, shrugging his shoulders before shifting his weight to one side again. He averted his eyes, not nearly paying the other as much attention as he was before. If Nishiki wasn’t going to receive any useful or at least interesting information, then he was going to find something else that could captivate his attention.

"So basically -– you’re homeless?" The ghoul inquired, eyes glancing at different structures within the warehouse. "This place technically isn’t yours. If I desired to do so, I’d come live in this place, but I actually have a solid roof under my head. Your job musn’t be so lucarious if you have to live in this shithole." He was sure that the other probably preferred living in the warehouse; without needing to pay anything, he could waste his money on other items and necessities. However, Nishiki was not above getting on someone else’s nerves. In fact, being bored as he was, he was more prone to poking around until he found something that caught his interest.

"What if you’re delivering dead bodies to a pack of ghouls, hm? What if you’re someone’s delivery -–?"

"Well, smartass, with a job like mine, you need a home where you can just pack up your things and leave if need be."

Takeo scoffed, eyes staring at Nishiki with just as much disinterest. Man, this guy was just a treasure trove of insults, wasn't he? Not that the red haired male couldn't retaliate, that is. He was used to people like this. ..Hell, he WAS one of those people. Pushing away from the table, Takeo quickly wandered back to a corner of the room which was particularly filled with boxes, all with different kinds of labels all over them.

"I have plenty of money, but I'd rather not waste it on an apartment. ..Also I wouldn't hesitate to punch you in the throat if you tried to take this place from me."

He rolled his eyes, turning his attention back to the boxes before him. With some digging, he yanked out a sizeable suitcase, patting it once or twice towards the other. It rattled, signaling that there were SOME kind of metal objects or weapons inside. Most likely, guns. Quinque were far too difficult to obtain. He was completely aware that guns would do very little against a ghoul, but sometimes all he needed was to stun them so he could make a run for it.

"Again, like I said, I don't care what I'm delivering. It could be a entire shipment of corpses for all I care. However, if some assholes think they can try and trick me into becoming dinner, I'd like to see them try."

— He takes a moment to pause. This clean cut suit wasn’t exactly all that. His boss required him to get something a little more nice. He gave him the money to do so. Alexander was by no means rich. He’s not even upper or middle class. ”Uh..cash..” At the word, he nibbles his bottom lip. ”..A little." 

— He is honestly. But the money part was putting him off.

Ahh, Takeo knew that reaction all too well. That nervous glint in his eye, the chewing of the bottom lip.. Hm. Ah, he was feeling generous today. ..And he DID promise that discount.

"Well, tell you what. We can work out a little.. payment plan, yeah? If you don't have the cash, there are other viable options. ..Like I.O.U's, or objects. But, hey, you still get that discount you know." He chuckled, tapping one of his fingers against his temple.

"But, hey, let's not worry about money right now, what kind of work are you interested in having me do?"

Reaching out, he aligned the boy to his stride of step with one hand so they would seem more casual. “Well Takeo,” he began, “My name is Tsukiyama Shuu, and the work you would doing for me is quite simple. You would act as a companion.” After a moment, he offered him a cheeky smirk. “Much like a small dog in a woman’s purse.”

Someone who would act as convenient shield. And who would be easy to throw away at a moments notice.

Summoning up the drama from deep within him, he heaved a heavy sigh. “I am quite often misunderstood, and find myself alone more times than not. Perhaps a companion might alleviate that loneliness. hm?”

Utter bullshit.

So much so, he was sure Takeo didn’t believe him. He dared him to say it however, watching him with his predatory eyes. He wasn’t so big to not kill a human over a petty comment. “I would compensate you for your time, of course.”

Even Takeo couldn't help but quirk a brow at the others offer. Companionship? Really?.. That was it? While the red haired male wasn't going to pass up on a chance for such easy work, this almost sounded.. too good to be true. He would have to keep his eyes peeled just in case there was some treachery afoot. There was always some sort of catch to these kinds of jobs, some were just quieter about it than others.

He forced a grin. The idea of being treated like a woman's 'purse dog' was a bit grating, though he was.. sure that was meant more as a joke than anything else. Hopefully.

"Sounds like a deal to me, Mr. Tsukiyama~ I'd be happy to fufill that for you, heh."

He shifted, putting both of his hands behind his neck. Well, this was going to be an adventure, wasn't it? Having to keep this guy company. ..Fun.

"I'll start as soon as you'd like."

Were humans really so unfortunate where they would go around begging strangers for handouts? What a miserable existence. Not that his money was earned by any means, it was just the task of finding a wealthy and appealing target~

However, his enthusiasm and energy seemed to be infectious, and that was something he very rarely encountered. Most of his kind were a dull and melancholy bunch.

Sparing the shorter male a chuckle, and amused quirk of his eyebrow, he took his appearance in. Considering him from head to toe. Hm… the Doves were growing ever closer to him and perhaps a human buffer would draw them off.

"Perhaps I do have work for you."

Truth be told, a lot of this was just an elaborate act. He knew the ways to get people's attention, so if it meant pulling the 'young but hopeful teenager', he would. He had plenty of cash from past jobs, but why not continue to get more? ..So long as the job didn't get him killed. ..And perhaps this one was going to be one of those dangerously close ones.

"Ah, really? I'm glad you've given me a chance!" He grinned widely, the back of his mind doing backflips. Ooh this was going to rake in such profit.

"I should probably introduce myself though; My name's Takeo Yoshiaki. Obviously the local freelance." Takeo had done killing and even kidnapping jobs before, but he's.. never actually had a true run in with the CCG. He was human, why would they care about a brat like him? He had delivered 'food' to ghouls before, but he was damn sneaky enough to keep people off his tail.

"So, if you don't mind me asking, sir, what kind of work are we talking?"

Casting a rather surprised glance to his left, the blunette almost found himself falling out of step and scuffing his very expensive shoe. Hm, it wasn’t often that any creature could surprise him, never mind a human.

A rather… scruffy human as well. With a chuckle, he slipped the book he had been thumbing through under his arm. “Do you make a habit of approaching strangers with propositions of unspecified service~?” he asked, amused despite himself.

What could he say? He was quick and light on his feet! You had to be when you did what he did on a regular basis. "Heh, only sometimes. Sorry about that, though." He gave a bit of a quiet chuckle, glancing the other up and down. Yep, this guy had to be loaded.

"I'm only vague simply because I can do a wide variety of jobs. Deliveries, retrievals, repairs.. Anything really. I'm top notch." He nodded confidently, running a few fingers through his hair as he continued to watch the male beside him. "Just trying to get by, you know?" Another light laugh.

Whoa, nice suit. He must've been packing some kind of hard cash, right? Fighting back a smug grin, the male trotted up to the other, not hesitating to begin walking beside him. "Hey! Sir, you look like someone who's in need of an errand boy. Interested? I'll do whatever you want for a fair price!"

Still fighting back that grin, gotta put on that 'professional' act shit.. Even if this guy WAS a ghoul. (Not that he knew that.)

"Course, though paying me back’s unnecessary. I don’t need much honestly," he’s pretty sure he has enough shoes to cover most of east Texas, "but thanks for offering."

"If you’re sure you’re willing to take responsibility then, sure. But before we go anywhere," he tossed Takeo the helmet, a teasing glint in his eyes, "safety first."

The brunette hopped on the back of the bike, holding on to the back frame.

"So, where are we going?"

"Tch, I'll think of something to pay you back with anyway." He stuck his tongue out a bit, catching the helmet in the process. Pssh, who needed safety? Not him! But.. it was probably good to have just in case. He quickly tugged on the helmet, adjusting it a bit.

"Not like I take responsibility for anything else in my life, might as well start now." With a few glance overs with the bikes controls, he was quick to turn it on and rev it once or twice. ..Oooh god. He would've moaned like a bitch if he didn't have someone sitting behind him. That was a nice engine though..

"Heh, anywhere but here I guess. We can head on deeper into the city then figure it out from there, yeah? My house is down that way too, if you'd like to check it out." While you couldn't really see his face from under the helmet, his smile had gotten wilder than it had before. With one last rev, he set off. Didn't take him much to get the motorcycle at a decently fast pace, either. Who needed to go slow when you had a bike like this now? ..Even if it was technically being stolen.

Takeo totally wasn't watching from someones balcony, nooo! Though, the others sudden confidence had definitely caught his attention. Once the crowd had cleared, Takeo snickered and whistled out loudly to get Shou's attention. "Having fun there? Didn't know you rode a fuckin' crotch rocket." He smirked before hopping down, stuffing his hands into his pocket once he brushed himself off a bit. [Oops I regret nothing]

The point guard raised an eyebrow, grin widening, “‘Crotch rocket?’ That’s the first time I’ve ever heard anyone call a motorcycle that. And well… I don’t know, I just sort of wanted to take it out. My father never does and she was just there, waiting to be ridden.”

He neglected to mention he didn’t actually have a license, but he didn’t think it was that important of a detail.

"You want to take her out for a spin yourself?"

"Well you have a good point, why let something like this go to waste?~ .. Damn, this is a nice fucking bike." Takeo wandered closer, letting his fingers linger against the paint of the motorcycle, before gliding up towards the seat. Ooh, very nice. Truth be told, he didn't have a license either, sshhh. But no one had to know that!

His head turned, eyes widening in excitement at the others offer. "..Seriously? Shit, I'd love to. I can happily pay you back for it. ..Anything in mind that you've been wanting? Clothes, food?" Takeo quirked a brow, not wasting any time to lift his leg and plop himself down onto the saddle of the bike.

"If you want to come along, I promise I won't get us killed." He snickered.

Takeo. Takeo. She’ll have to remember that name and add it to the list of people she’s tricked when she finally got back home. This act was far from elaborate, but it was the one she pulled most often and the one she was most skilled at. Any practice is good practice, she thought.

Her head turned in the direction he pointed, though nothing down that way looked any more familiar than the rest of this place. It had been difficult to hold back her amusement at his near-slip of a curse, but she managed to bite down the snicker and cover it with a sweet little smile.

"You’re so nice!" She chirped delightedly. "I’d like that, if it doesn’t inconvenience you too much. I don’t know what I’d do if I got lost again. I might run into someone bad…" Her voice took on a nervous tone, looking more than a bit grim but it was quickly shaken off and the girl lit up once more. "Surely no one as polite and helpful as you!"

Sometimes she couldn’t even believe the shit that came out of her mouth. Jeeze, she should be an actress.

"Oh please, I'm only here to help a nice girl in need~" Takeo snickered, stuffing his hands deeply into his jean pockets. ..She certainly was an odd ball of sunshine, wasn't she? Almost too positive. ..How old was she again? Eh, he'd ask later. Turning on his heel, the red haired male began strolling down the sidewalk, gesturing for her to follow after him. Their destination was a few blocks away, so why not strike up a conversation? He needed a little bit more information before he decided to really carry out any kind of plan.

"So, Suzume-chan." He turned his head to look at her, his grin still plastered across his face. "Tell me about yourself. ..And just how did you end up getting lost anyway?" She didn't seem to be a tourist, obviously. But the questioned remained, how did she get lost in the city here if her parents house was only a bit away?.. Eh, it didn't really bother him that much, but it was still an odd question that lingered.

Honestly, you could ask him where the most obscure hole in the wall restaurant was, and he could probably tell you. He's been around this city more times than you could shake a stick at!
