does anyone have any tips on getting more confident posting your art? i tried posting some stuff but it simmered in my brain too long and i ended up feeling like a fraud very very quickly
i needed more fluffy dedsec crew fics but i can’t find any (im just hella picky abt fics) so my amateur ass is writing oneshots in the basement of my aunts house at our easter family function cuz i’m overstimulated✌️
AN: some of these are just the crew and some are reader insert. (also very little horatio cuz i dont feel like i know his personality well enough yet)
Thinking about accidentally falling asleep on the many chairs and couches after working late in the hackerspace only to wake up to:
- Drawings on your arms proudly signed by Wrench and Marcus
- A sticky note on your forehead that reads: “Left you breakfast on your work bench. Go home next time, dumbass – Sitara <3”
- A blanket you don’t remember being there that you later found out was from Josh. They all snitched :)
While they all probably listen to their own music while they work, I fully believe that they have one like mega playlist that everyone can add songs to. Everyone gets 3 vetoes just in case. Most of them have been used on wrench’s attempted additions
Everyone has a little desk buddy that sits on their work space. Sitara has a small giraffe stuffed animal she’s had since she was a kid, Marcus has a rubber duck with his bandana painted on that Wrench made for him, Wrench has a tiny robot named Wrench Jr. Jr. and Josh has a custom figure of the DEDSEC grim reaper.
Sitara is THE hair girl. Marcus needs his head shaved? She already has the razor plugged in with his preferred guard on. Josh needs his hair pulled back or pinned up because the feeling of it on the back of neck is bothering him? She has a bag full of hair clips and ties. Horatio needs his locs refreshed? She’s putting a pillow down in front of the couch for him to sit on, a show on the projector, and snacks at the ready.
Somehow the most calm and chaotic nights are movie nights. Once a week, after the shop closes, they all chill in the hackerspace and watch a movie. Unfortunately, no body could ever decide on one which lead to wayyyy too many arguments, so some rules were put in place.
Rules:
- Each week, a different person gets to pick the movie before it repeats
- Only one Jimmy Siska movie per month
- No throwing popcorn, popcorn throwers turn will be skipped (cough cough wrench cough cough)
- No complaining DURING the movie, all complaints must be made before or after the movie
- The only movie they can ever agree on Big Hero Six. For some reason.
- Only sentient beings may get a turn picking the movie. No, robots do not count, Wrench.
I am a firm believer that Wrench is more than willing to make you a vest or patches if you simply ask. All the materials needed are stolen or hand made because that man refuses to pay for ANYTHING.
Be prepared for him to present you with the finished work like a squire giving his monarch their crown. (He needs non destructive enrichment, let him be dramatic every now and again.)
Wrench owns a tattoo gun and probably did all his own tattoos and offers to do one on everyone else. He’s actually not bad design wise but be careful, he isn’t actually trained so he may go too deep or not clean everything properly…
