More than once i have had a younger/same age queer person come up to me in public settings and say something about “finding other gays” or clearly clocking me as nonbinary and I’m like :)))))))) hey buddy I’m here with my conservative parents can you fucking not out me :))))))))

Just say you like my outfit or hair and move on, fuck even tell me you like my shoelaces. Don’t call me gay and limp your wrist at me when you don’t even know me? Especially when there’s a bunch of ppl around?

i was out with my ex once when three *very* young queer kids, like thirteen years old, came up to us and asked us “are you guys, you know…” and did the limp wrist thing at us. one of them loudly exclaimed that it was so cool to meet other queer people in real life. this was in public in an unbelievably conservative area - we didn’t even feel safe holding hands because we were surrounded by Mormons. we got lucky that day, but I’m begging y’all to remember that the world doesn’t work like the internet. other queers are real fuckin people. don’t do this shit. OP is right; tell me you like my jacket, or my patches, or the rainbow spokes on my wheelchair, but don’t out either of us!

This used to be standard operating procedure not even ten years ago: NEVER OUT OTHER QUEERS, even if they’re supposedly already out. Never assume that it’s okay to let third parties know that so-and-so is queer. Ever. You never know when you’ve found the one uncle with the heart condition that they can’t bear to risk telling, or the one neighbor who’s just threatening enough that they don’t mention it around, or even the grandma that they haven’t gotten around to mentioning it to yet. You might have just ruined a very important milestone for someone, or you could have put them at actual risk of harm.

Also… stop freaking assuming. If you don’t see a pride flag on them, please don’t just assume. You can’t tell ANYTHING about a person’s gender or partner preferences by what they’re wearing on any given day, what their hair looks like, or whether or not they’re using makeup. You legit cannot, and you look like a jerk when you try.

Old OCs redesigns

Ling-yu was made in 2022 when I was in my Japan phase

In the re design I made their outfit more inspired by Chinese hanfus, instead of whatever kimono inspired thing I did because her name was yk, chinese

We can tell by how I drew that kimono I didn't have that much knowledge about how they actually looked like..But now I am blessed by autism and actually looking up stuff to be respectful of other cultures

Also the character is now actually wearing proper Chinese clothing and not Japanese clothing 😭

And Tao-Li in 2023, back when I was slightly less into Japan and got heavily inspired by Heaven official blessing and started to know more about Chinese clothes

I made him wear a women's hanfu BC I just feel like he would enjoy women's fashion more :)

I kept his colour palette and the base of his design because I thought it was quite great !

Random ideas about Carlo and Pino being twins

part 1/?

twins AU pino and carlo is so cute tbh I had to write headcanons ! (Contains some of my art too :D)

● Pinocchio is a bit awkward most of the time with people (poor boy is learning) but Carlo and him still managed to make a strong bond with time ! Yay :D

sibling fights:

● Carlo teases Pino a lot: pulls his hair, makes jokes etc.. basically siblings things

○ Pino doesn't really tease back but at some point if he is too annoyed by Carlo he'll end up biting him (not hard enough to hurt but enough to surprise him)

Clothes:

● Pinocchio likes to steal his brother's clothes a lot, which annoys Carlo everytime

○ They also very like to match outfits (which is I'll admit, very cute, I do it with my twin also hehe)

● It wasn't natural for Pinocchio to act a certain way siblings act so he observed people who has siblings and tried to replicate what they do

○ Like read together, they love reading together !

○ Also sleeping together from time to time, just being in the same room, like a slumber party !

○ He even bites Carlo. To show affection (like how my cat bites me when I pat him too much or not enough) being used to it, Carlo eventually bites back XD

Affection:

● Pino and affection isn't a natural thing, but when he saw siblings hug he really wanted to try it on his own brother !

○ He hugged Carlo so hard he almost could not breathe... but later on he learned to be more delicate with his hugs.

○ He hugs Carlo very often, even though Carlo don't show it necessarily he actually kinda like being hugged by his brother

Kisses :

They are not the type of siblings to kiss, maybe a little kiss on the cheek or forehead to say goodnight or thank you but that's it

● they kinda had a rivalry at first (especially jealous Carlos) on who would be the favourite son, but when Carlo saw Giuseppe treated Pino the same he treated him, he felt a relief then a need to protect his brother

"I've only met pinocchio for an hour but if anything happens to him I'd kill everyone her and than myself!!"

● They are very protective to eachother, especially Carlo to Pino

● They often train to fight together

● ofc Pino is a part of the friend group with Romeo, they often all 3 hang out together :D

Doodled my boys the year before they died…looking rough huh

Just a coinkydink that they both died at 20, obv Xiyang like 100 years before Yrjö did but yk. The small things can bring people together.

Yrjö at that point was very frail, hair always tangled because he couldn’t take care of it himself and there was too much going on for that to be his parents priority either. Constantly in the hospital and just not feeling very good about life. Xiyang was pretty much as usual, death kind of came unexpected to him anyway. Just a military rat nobody had any respect for. He’d been feeling worse as of recently though, not able to sleep because of a voice that plagued him. Besides a lot of…things…had happened, and he feared for his life every day. But no matter what he just did his job day in day out.
