Now, the game seemed to have a pretty open ending. Did Zack actually fulfill their oath and kill Ray or did they escape together? There’s even the possible theory that they could have fallen to their death together. Depending on how high of a floor Ray was on in the facility. I could see in a way where that might be kinda poetic. In a tragic sort of way. But, apparently they suddenly disappeared and nobody knows their whereabouts. So, I’d like to think that means they escaped together. Course, I guess Zack could have taken his time to do it properly once they were a safe distance away. I can’t picture him actually going through with it though. I don’t think my poor little fangirl heart could take it.

Then again, these were the last lines in the game:

Agh! I don’t wanna think about that though! :o(

I just wanna think about this last part:

Ray jumps into Zack’s arms like so many of those gorgeous fanart pics we’ve all seen of this scene. And then they lived happily ever after on the run together, finally finding hope and meaning in eachother. Perhaps even maybe love… The end.

I think it’s their love language in a way. He kinda was telling her to be quiet and let him see her smile. Idk... I see the ending being poetic of them dying together. However, I prefer them escaping ending over the poetic death. It’s kinda sweet to picture them running off into the moonlight. Like runnaway :). Thankfully, its confirmed it wasn't a halluncation cause that would’ve been disappointing. I also feel its their language because in the [Danny Shooting Her Scene] she implyed that she wanted to feel wanted alive. I feel as if Rachel wanted to feel wanted in general in that speech. I feel like Zack got a more understanding of Rachels POV in that scene. But then again who knows haha!
