Idea for post or part of set: what social media IS! Do we not realize how fucking weird it is to have someone look at you and never answer any question that you ask them? Like could you imagine doing this shit in person? This is what your parents did growing up... they looked at any person who did that like they were FUCKING INSANE. People who exist to compete are very different from people who don't. Golfers. Chess players. Tennis players. The best in the world are a completely different breed... you prove you're the best by going directly against others. You can't do that as like an engineer or investment banker or whatever.

I used to wonder why people asked others if they liked winter or summer better . Thought I'd be a summer person . Definitely a winter person with how beautiful it is... so peaceful.. good tweet !

Share my story on I about why I'm there (reminds me of a joke like if I came back to the office randomly after saying I was leaving.. and you saw me walk back in , eventually you'd wanna know why I was there... like "hey so how long you gonna be here?" )

Truly an opportunity to share the story of this business as I build it. Share goals. Start posting content in form of the learnings and problems that Im solving for people as I go (beta clients for example).

Ok so had some Namaste around 930 pm

Seemed so obvious when i was outside today (when i really FELT owning my Canmore place & smoking there) but when we receive everything we are grateful for , it goes around that we should receive beyond our wildest dreams that we be willing to devote ourselves to the betterment of others... It's what you give and say you're willing to give and behave as such etc etc . You get "beyond your wildest dreams" for everything you have / know. Give up a paradigm tbat isn't serving you, and in return you get "beyond anything you could've imagined you were going to have"!! Good trade...

In the bathroom, felt how urgent it became to do a zoom call with friends (which we'd been meaning to for years) and howbit might actually serve us in the long run (having kids and businesses etc) to stay in touch in jammies rather than only 1/year... Hashtag PandemicPositives

Went out for a 2nd go just now & felt like I was seeing source in its purer form (nature) and just felt so much gratitude for the world. I whispered out loud "thank you" like 10 times

Treated myself to a nice feeling tonight with the Canada Dry

"CONNECTION" (circa 2016) After Shaista and I got married, we decided to paint the pictures we'd put on our bedroom wall. Each of us would get a blank canvas with half a heart painted on it. Like us, together, the 2 paintings would be 1. Unbeknownst to me when I started, this painting represents so much of me - not only as the backdrop of my personal brand - but for the meaning of it & how I stumbled across the inspiration. So I want to share that story with you before I go. I stared at that blank canvas for a while stressing about the permanency of paint. I can't erase! What if I don't like it? What if I change my mind? What if what if what if? Then I envisioned a painting that I thought would be nice: a striking & balanced blend of bright colours. I started with black cause it was the safest & seemed like the best foundation. Then easily & methodically, I added layers of colours. "What goes in the heart?" I thought as I painted. "Darkness obviously" came to me. So dark colours went inside the heart. "But I can't just bring darkness to the other side of the heart!". Then the next layer of inspiration hit & it all came together. [Entrepreneurial insert: this has also come to represent my entrepreneurial journey - stare and obsess all you want, but nothing will get done. Start. Start with a vision or not, but start with 1 stroke. It gets easier. It always takes work, but it can become effortless, exciting, and beautiful. Plus if it's not working, just do something different! My painting (or life btw) didn't turn out the way I thought, but I sure appreciate what it became.] While I felt darkness & depression inside my heart at the time, and like everything outside of me was happy and bright; along came this other half that helped me believe that there was beauty inside my heart as well... & it was growing from a CONNECTION with the other half. That other half? Her name is now Shaista Madhany, and she resides in all of the stories I have shared on this page and will forever be part of the stories I share. Thank you for your grace, Honey. CHILDHOOD DREAM: Manifested. October 27, 2020 Calgary, Alberta I can think of 2 dreams I dreamt as a kid: playing NFL football and making people laugh on stage. While the NFL dream MAY not come true, I knew I could make this one come true, and I did. And you know what? It was easy. It felt good. It felt right. Recently, I've witnessed firsthand (through my daughter), studied, and experienced more of what we are when we are born and what happens to us as we grow. As we grow from baby to adult, we learn limitations. When was the last time you questioned what you believe and think about yourself and your possibilities? Did you teach yourself you couldn't make your deepest of most personalest desires come true...? Or did someone else teach you to think that way? I've shared a lot of my story on this page & this is one piece I couldn't not share before leaving. I did it, Self. We did it. We fuckin did it! It took 4 days before I felt like the high of this moment finally settled down, 9 days before I watched the video myself, and 10 before I shared it with anyone... Now 16 days left until I'm back up there for round 2 of Yuk Yuks' Calgarys Next Top New Comic Competition, so wish me luck! (Oh yeah in case you were wondering, this was my 1st Stand up Comedy set ever & it was in an amateur competition. 7 comics that night. 2 advanced. 1 was an audience vote winner and 1 was a judges vote winner. I won the judges vote & passed on the prize that came with it: a 7 minute set to open for a couple of them that weekend. Call me crazy for passing, but it just didn't feel right.). This day represented so much more than achieving a dream: it enlightened me, opened my eyes, and reminded me about fear, interactions with those around me, being mindful of energy, and at the end of the day - having some fucking FUN. Treating people like people (Oct18'20, 2am)

I think one ofnthe reasons im a "good father" (aka comnect with my daughter the way I do) is because I treat her like a person. I won't pretend my wife doesn't also do this, but we just include her in shit.. Helping us clean up, helping put her clothes away, helping turn the lights off - even if it's for bedtime.

"Senior citizens" don't like to be treated like they're lesser humans, kids want to be treated like they know what theyre doing... Hell, 30 year olds dont like being treated like 17 year olds OR 45 year olds...

We're so busy or caught up in treating people according to some somewhat arbitrary measurement that i think we forget to treat people like people way too often (not just age - title, position, marital status, income, appearance...).

Humanity.

Humanism?

Concept.

Tonight we watched The Big Short and stuff like that always gets to me a little bit.. How people can treat their fellow man. Mostly for their own personal advancement ...

It's sickening really in a lot of ways.

High thoughts 10/2/20

Things just become so clear sometimes when i smoke weed, it's a bit silly

1. So far... Listening to Hansen & Caplan on Sirius and realizing that i enjoy listening ti them because they make me feel like im part of the experience & the story. It's not common. Great radio personality skill.. I also realized that I'm good at that! I can do that!

2. Time to talk about my experiences with weed. To show & live my true self and in the process, give people the blueprint for doing so. It will eventually start attracting the people who embrace talking about this subject ("cannabis use"). The next generation is GOING to do it - talk openly about weed... They have to. They're going to grow up with it on their street corners. We didnt have that. We had the idea that if you got caught with it at school, you were consciously risking ruining the REST OF YOUR LIFE to have it (more on University soon). The narrative has changed for our children. We are the transition generation. Adaptation. Whoever can actually fucking do it, is going to hold chips. Its connection. You connect people. You can build bridges because you respect how different people are connected. Holy shit.. This is my "purpose", isnt it....? This is how I'm going to do it next...
