JUSTIN CHIEN by Troy Wang for men's uno Taiwan, February 2024
@nidhoggx location: who knows but we can transition this to lubefest or not up to u notes: local drow stands in place with his arms at his sides
When shit hit the fan, Zaknafein had left; it was unfortunate because he liked this realm. Things were so much easier here than they had ever been in the Underdark or any of the places connected to it. Murder plots weren't especially elaborate, assassination attempts were basically non-existent, and he'd stopped making waitstaff sample his food in front of him to check for poison.
"Comfortable, isn't it?" He'd seen the dragon in the sky over Rome when the fighting had started. Zaknafein had been on his way out at the time, but Nidhogg came with his own reputation. Even with someone as removed from the udadrow's politics as Zaknafein was now, it was hard not to know who the Court's dragon was. "You're not in Kansas anymore." He paused momentarily before explaining, "That's an expression."
@hayliel location: Hell's Bells notes: cant u see im obsessed with u
Hayliel was among the first people the drow met when he arrived in the mortal realm ages ago. They were the closest thing to friends that Zaknafein had; he'd seen the seraphim through the lifespan of several faces; while Hayliel couldn't fight, that didn't mean he wasn't good at other things. Like money. Having money, spending money, getting more money. This is how Zaknafein knew that Hayliel could get another parking space and why the drow wasn't speaking to him. Instead, he sat at the bar before opening eating. It wasn't like he even had a car to park, but that wasn't the point; he'd asked, and Hayliel said no, which seemed inconsiderate for all the years the two of them had known each other. Zaknafein and Hayliel had one very defining thing in common; they just wanted things because they wanted things, and if Hayliel had a parking spot with his name on it, then Zaknafein wanted that exact spot.
