Any video on your phone can be giffed. You’ve probably already shot tons of them, and they probably contain tons of giffable moments. Just:

Open a new photo post. 

Pick a video. 

Thwack!—it’s a GIF.

Speed it up. Slow it down. Make it eternally loop, or fool it into rebounding back and forth across time. Have fun figuring out the things you can do with your GIF.

Some additional tips for your GIF-making pleasure:

The shorter your GIF is, the better it’ll look. 

Speeding up a slow-mo GIF to 3x or 4x makes for a crazy-smooth normal-speed GIF.

Tap the rebound once to make your GIF go back and forth, twice to make it run in reverse. 

Sometimes life is too complicated for just one GIF. Make a photoset.

What you see above is a PM conversation I had with a certain individual on DA back in January regarding them naming their character after Monara and apparently also me.

The reason I’m posting this is because it came to my attention that they apparently didn’t respect my wishes regarding this. People have seen a character named “Monara Graevling” in the game and told me about it. Some have asked if that was actually me and I’ve had to explain that I don’t play the game and I certainly wouldn’t name my character that.

So I have to wonder why they even asked in the first place if they didn’t care what my answer was. They just went ahead and did it anyway.

I’ve also gotten messages that this person has created a Facebook account, Steam account, Google+ account (and even wanted to add me to their circle) etc with this name.

All of this I could just chalk up to them being some weird kid on the internet who’s just trying to gain some fame or something from me. I wasn’t going to really call them out or anything, but what I learned today made me feel like I had to say something. Someone told me that this person was now claiming that they had gotten go-ahead from me to use this name. And they also claim that Monara was originally their character that they sold to me. Which is absolutely absurd.

I’m not going to go all “She’s my Original Character! Don’t steal her!” or anything. It’s not about that. It’s about this weird obsession that this person seems to have. Like they seem to want to claim part of my success for themselves, or something. I don’t even know. As I have said before, I don’t care if people name their characters Monara. It’s just a name. But trying to somehow imply a connection to me by using it in conjunction with “Graevling” and also claiming that they sold the character to me in the first place is messed up.

Now, I don’t want people to harrass them. I mostly just want everyone else to understand that this person has nothing to do with me. They’re not connected to me in any way. I’ve never had any dealings with them and the only time I’ve even had contact with them is in the PMs shown above.

If they keep making claims that are patently absurd and not rooted in reality, you can definitely call them out on that. You can also point them to this post if you come in contact with them in the game or on the various communities online to show them that I really do not approve of what they’re doing. Please stop making shit up.
