New Horizons || pilferess

Tidus was looking for something new and exciting to do, and Rikku had given him a perfect opportunity. After the Gullwings finished their adventure they had gone their separate ways, but Rikku continued her travels. She had planned an adventure to go look for a lost treasure and Tidus had practically begged her to go with. Stepping onto the airship, Tidus looked around and let out a whistle as he looked around. “And I thought she looked good on the outside.”

He walked along the bridge, glancing at all the machinery around him. He had to give credit to Rikku; knowing how to run a rig like this and know what everything does was impressive. Tidus was scared just to look at the buttons, let alone press one. He turned his attention to the large window before him and stared out of it, placing his hands behind his head as he heard the door open behind him. That must be the lady in chage now.

Serah groaned as she came to her scenes. Her body felt completely numb but so how she managed to mumble out words, “Too. Loud…” The pinkette, with a little more effort opened her eyes but realizing how bright it was closed them again only to open them more slowly the second time and squinting as her vision adjusted to the outdoor lightning. “Where..am I?” Her words were still quiet, a whisper. It hurt to speak, her throat felt like it was being attacked by a cactuar.  She tried to laugh at that thought but it only made her wince in agony.

“Phew...” Tidus lets out a sigh as he sits back, crossing his legs as he gives the girl some room to breathe and get back to her senses. “This is the Mi’ihen Highroad, just outside of Luca.” He propped himself up onto his knees as he reached into a pocket. Pulling out a small bottle of water, he handed it to her with a small smile on his face. “Here; sounds like you really need it.”

He could tell by her clothes that she might not have been from Spira. There’s no way she could be a dream like he was either. Where did she come from, and how did she get here? “What’s your name?”

Tidus had finished his business in Luca and began walking about the city. With hands laced behind his head, he headed down the path that led towards Mi’ihen Highroad. The sun shined brightly, putting a smile on the blonde’s face as he jogged up the steps towards the path. It seemed like an average day; nothing really eventful happened after the Eternal Calm. But Tidus didn’t expect what he saw at the top of the steps.

Was that...was that a girl?

Tidus stopped in his tracks for a moment and stared, not quite sure what to do or think. Soon he took a few steps forward and crouched next to her. He lifted his hand, hovering it over her shoulder for a moment before he gently shook her. “Hey....you okay? You alive?” She didn’t react at first, sending a chill down Tidus’ spine. “Hey, c’mon! Wake up!”

Fitness whole pizza in my mouth.”

❝You think I was only like that on the pilgrimage? Besides, wouldn’t you prefer to spend your time with Wakka, Yuna or Rikku? I’m sure they’re much better company than I.❞

“Maybe you were, maybe you weren’t. Point is now that you aren’t it’s time to let your hair down. If I wanted to hang with them I would. I wanna hang with you, though. If you want me to go away, I will.”

“Nothing. You were just so serious and focused on the pilgrimage that I never got this chance with you. I got a lot of catching up to do.”

Folds her arms about her waist and fixes him with a stony gaze.
