Welcome to Zanir, the bountiful trading region. Comprised of two joined kingdoms: Zanir is the place where all walks of life come together. Like the variety of good available, the region is home to pokemon from all over the world! Pokemon once thought to be endemic thrive in Zanir. All are welcome here.

GYM RESULTS

Gym results are based off of our battle simulator. Not all moves chosen were available (for some reason?) so I picked a move of the same type to replace the options. It gives the same outcome more or less. If anyone has a better pokemon battle sim, go ahead and message the main and we’ll check it out! That being said, check out the results!

DYLAN YOO - DEFEATED Taecyeon with only 7 HIT POINTS LEFT on his final pokemon.

Sorry for the delay on the gym results. I’ve been having health problems and I’ve been prioritising myself. I will be getting to the announcement later this week (or maybe tonight if I hyper focus on getting the results right now). That being said, thank you all so much for your grace and patience. Every two weeks at 6PM CST, an activity check will be posted on the main to see if members were active during the given timeframe. Members are expected to at least post one starter/reply or combination of the following: meme, head canon, or solo. There are no warning lists. If you are removed from the roleplay you have to reapply once again. You do not collect any EXP from the activity check if you are removed from the roleplay. You can still keep previous earned EXP, however.

GYM LEADER BATTLE!

Listen up trainers! It’s time to fight the gym leaders. Everyone is guaranteed 20 EXP for attempting the gym but can earn 100 EXP for defeating the gym leader. That’s enough to instantly evolve a pokemon on your team! And remember, it’s during the event so points are currently double.

The way that it works in Zanir is that everyone who would like to participate will submit a form. The form will be available below for you to fill out and submit to the main blog. Only people who submit a form will be on the final post that shows who wins or fails. Every submission will be process through our chosen battle simulator which is why we need your move set! PLEASE TITLE YOUR SUBMISSION WITH: GYM BATTLE ENTRY.

Zanir’s gym leaders can be fought in any order you would like. Just make sure your team is up to the stuff! Every gym leader’s team is available to be viewed on our NPC PAGE on the main. Please use the pokemon database to choose which moves for your pokemon. Moves can be changed at any point - similar to how it is in Pokemon Legends of Arceus so do not think you have to keep the same move pool for every gym battle. ALL FORMS ARE DUE BEFORE NEXT ACTIVITY CHECK ON 10/9/22 @ 6PM CST.

do I really have to know Pokémon to join? What do I need to know?

None of the members really need to know pokemon to join. Pokemon is essentially the setting of the roleplay! Just know the general stuff and you should be fine. Our dex (although uncompleted dinkleburg) has links to the database which teaches you about the pokemon. Battles (either pvp or to the gym) are decided up to a battle simulator I have. Nothing requires you to be like a pokemon expert to be here.

If you do need to know something, I think it's about the occupations of the pokemon universe. There's being a Nurse Joy, Officer Jennie, different kinds of trainers, contest stars, pokemon stadium stars, etc. There's a lot to the pokemon universe!

Also I would like to mention that normal animals as we know it don't exist here. I would suggest using the closest looking pokemon instead. So yeah, even the food they get are of pokemon! If I missed something else you'd like to know, please tell me. I'm full of information, I promise.

will Pokémon catch post be double too? also can we make requests for Pokémon catches??

Yes any pokemon catch posts within the event time will be doubled! That means it'll be +4EXP if you fail and +10EXP if you successfully catch them!

And yes I would love it if people submitted their requests for what pokemon they wanna catch. Obviously, no legendaries or mythical pokemon. I would like to make sure we give every pokemon a chance first before we start duplicating but if there's enough of a demand for a pokemon then we'll double up. Thank you for asking <3

EVENT TIME

Hey trainers it’s time for Zanir’s very first event! It’s September so you know what that means: Halloween event! This event will last UNTIL OCTOBER 31ST. That’s not the best part: all threads, head canons and solos in relation to the event will earn DOUBLE POINTS. Oh, you heard me. If you write a starter for the event you will be earning +30EXP instead of your normal +15EXP. Isn’t that sexy?

This is only for things that pertain to the event. How will we tell? Well, ya gotta tag your stuff with #zanir: samhain! That way we know which posts are event posts earning the double EXP versus normal posts. You can still post normal threads and such during this time.

THIS EVENT IS VOLUNTARY! Please keep in mind that there is no form to fill out. Points can be redeemed the moment it’s posted. POINTS CANNOT BE COLLECTED AFTER OCTOBER 31ST. Ready to know about the event itself?

Called Samhain in the Pokemon world, Samhain is very similar to the Halloween we know and love. Especially in Zanir. There are many towns having events on top of normal Samhain celebration. LESNOR is celebrating ALL OCTOBER LONG with a haunted lighthouse tour, Samhain photoshoots for trainers and their pokemon (costumes provided) and the newly established swimming with zombie luvdisc (no luvdisc were harmed in the making of this attraction. don’t worry! they’re in costume!)

Both ELLORIN and ZARANIA are hosting festivities ALL SEASON LONG - meaning from now until OCTOBER 31ST. They are the most known for going all out for Samhain. Residents and trainers alike wait all year for the insane festivities. It is a rite of passage for residents of Zanir. The following events will be available to all trainers:

ELLORIN

forest maze & scavenger hunt - trainers have the option of just doing the maze in ELLEANADA FOREST or making it a bit more difficult with a scavenger hunt. the forest is dimly lit with a few ghost type pokemon aiding for jump scares. trainers may even see ghost type pokemon from different regions. no minors are allowed in either maze.

mixed (alcoholic) drinks from the berry shoppe

find the phantumps: a mini-game held in the town’s square where phantumps hide in a particular area. there are 10 in total that need to be found in 5 minutes.

costume contests - run all season long. there are multiple winners throughout the day, each posted on ellorin’s city website and announced at the end of the night. both pokemon and trainers are eligible to join! there are some interesting and wacky categories you can win

ZARANIA

corn maze

5 haunted houses - each scarier than the last; the last two haunted houses are so scary, a waiver must be signed and you must show your identification. no minors are allowed on the last two!

samhain night clubs - the night clubs in zarania have transformed! they’re now all spooky to match the season. some clubs house their own customer contests.

food market - in the festival square, there is a samhain food market available with halloween-inspired foods, known autum foods and lots of drinks!

samhain spook-a-thon - on the other side of the festival market there’s a large projector showing some classic horror movies. it runs until 3 am (spooky~) and sometimes take requests from the audience!

ANNOUNCEMENT!

Hey trainers. After some consideration, I’ve decided to lower the experience points needed to evolve your pokemon. Because each evolution is purchased separately, it would take a long time for someone to evolve their team idealistically. I’ve noticed it myself with Berry, as she’s only at around 45 points. I want to avoid too much grinding as much as possible!

Going forward, first evolutions cost 100 EXP and second evolutions cost 150 EXP. If this also seems unattainable in the grand scheme of things, I’ll lower it another 25 EXP if need be. The rules have already been updated to reflect on this change.

Please enjoy the inbox meme mini event. POINTS CAN BE COLLECTED UP UNTIL THE ACTIVITY CHECK ON 9/11 IS POSTED. After the activity check you can still send and posts memes, however points will not be eligible for collection. Make sure you get them up in time!

Listen up trainers! It’s time for a mini event!

The dash is a little slow moving because it’s a newer and smaller roleplay so I wanted to give everyone a little nudge before activity check. This is going to be the first INBOX MEME event! Inbox memes are to be posted/reblogged by the main only. Although, members can send in inbox meme suggestions to be considered!

This is how it’ll work: each member is expected to send at least ONE prompt to each member who has reblogged this post. This is to ensure that everyone is fairly getting a shot to be able to have an inbox meme and collect points. Every posted inbox meme prompt prior to activity check on SEPTEMBER 11 will receive +3 EXP. So send multiple prompts to redeem a lot of EXP. PLEASE DO NOT SEND MULTIPLE PROMPTS IN A SINGLE ASK MESSAGE. IF YOU SEND TWO TOGETHER, THOSE WILL NOT BE COUNTED AS SEPARATE PROMPTS EVEN IF  WRITTEN IT AS SUCH.
