I recently painted this. Inspired by everything that has been going on. The black lives matter movement is not a recent issue, this has been going on for centuries and it is disgusting to see this racism in 2016. When I painted this, I thought, what would MLK or Malcom X or many other civil rights activists have to say about racist police brutality, 60 years after the activists fought so hard to battle the prejudice and discrimination and racism. I’m disgusted by the ignorance and I wish I had a bigger platform to voice my opinion.
