although i don't see many people who do, just in case, darkstripe and tigerstar are cousins as leopardfoot and willowpelt are sisters. also it can be considered with an age gap as tigerstar was old enough to mentor darkstripe. acknowledging darkstripe's loyalty and gratitude to tigerstar, perhaps to the point of obsession is fine in my consideration. having it with romantic elements of darkstripe having a one-sided crush or tigerstar loving him is incest.

this book series is written in a way that purposely anthropomorphizes these cats. these cats are NOTHING like real life. they set up a fascist government system, practice religion, engage in herbology, discriminate against other cats, have magical powers, fight long dead evil spirits, live nine lives, kill each other in dreams, live virtually undetected by humans for decades, and go against their natural instincts by engaging in monogamy. 

if the authors are going to ignore basic cat biology in favor of humanizing these cats, and YOU as the consumer eats this shit up and continues to read with the knowledge that these are little humans in cat fur, then you have to accept that incest is wrong and shipping it is equally as wrong.

at the end of the day you’re the one admitting that you’re okay with shipping incest. incest from a book marketed for children.
