imagine you’re the leader of your group and you’re being discharged after two years in which you still managed to attend pretty much every significant schedule your group had because that’s how much you care and love and cherish them, and instead of allowing you to regroup, your label sends you on a network survival program with guys ten years your junior.

by the way, i find it extremely insulting that an artist of hui’s caliber is appearing on this show as a contestant. i am sorry, but he has already been a trainee, he has been on a survival program before, he is an established vocalist, songwriter and producer, and the fact that he is not a mentor in this show is a joke. he debuted 6+ years ago. he placed first as best main vocal at his jyp audition 12 years ago. when he re-auditioned for cube, all three companies at the open audition chose him as the only contestant. he wrote and composed songs for wanna one, cix, the mnet survival show produce x 101 (the finale song), and has written every pentagon title track since like this. this man has no need to redebut in a temporary group. he is the leader of his very own group. this is beyond unnecessary.
