the way Wei Shengyuan and Jiang Jin play off Yiyi is just incredible. love their dynamic.

just read 43 and ough i really really love these characters youve made. i love their dynamic and how wei shengyuan jiang jin each interact with zan xinyi individually and how they interpret her and what they think of how the other treats zan xinyi too. loving the playtest scene so much. wei shengyuans refusal to let the witch die and jiang jin knowing and encouraging him. oh zan xinyi... i look forward 2 every update day 2 see what troubles zan xinyi has dropped in her lap. thank you 4 writing!!
my evil plan... it's working <3
thanks for reading!! much more where this is coming from.
EEEHHHH what is sunny days, zarinthel? hi. I feel like I've missed so much since I last came to check on your account omg
Sunny days (eg, Sunny Days Endless Hell) is my original webnovel!
It stars Zan Xinyi, a comp sci major now burned out retail worker , as the zombie apocalypse breaks loose.
But that's not all. a crazy system has enforced its own ruleset on her-- if she wants to be able to thrive in this world, she has to do a singularly bizarre task. Among the wreckage of the world, she's got to design, launch, and maintain a gacha game! -- along with the eclectic team that she collects along the way.
I'm at 90k words, so feel free to give it a look.
In the midst of the apocalypse, the most dangerous thing is still her corporate deadline. Blood still splattered everywhere from killing he
You alive?
Yeah lol chapter went up Very late last night
loved your work on SV and been enjoying sunny days !
also been enjoyin skolomorphic hehehe
something very wonderful about characters that want to be conceal their feelings but cant help but be honest about them
thank you so much : ) I agree its fun when characters actions reveal their character far beyond their words. though zan xinyi's insulting words are also truly her.
Do you read all the stories you shout out? I would've expected you to be too busy!
I usually read the first 20k+ of them, and then I'll rec them based on if their at a quality and premise that I'm comfortable promoting, even if theyre not perfectly to my taste. ive found some good new fics this way, and I enjoy doing shout outs. its difficult to tell from the readers side, but from the authors side cumulative shout outs are actually the best and most efficient way to get new readers on the entire site, especially for lower follow count works.
but to be honest with you i read incredibly long webnovels for fun all the time and when necessary I can write 2k in a single day so reading stories on rr is actually a small chunk of how I spend my days. I've also been reading a lot of extremely long song of ice and fire fanfic lately, which is actually consuming a lot of time.
tldr: i do read them and compared to my other reading habits its barely noticeable

forgot to remind everybody.
were at ch26 now! 55k in! A perfect time to get back into it.

I forgot to be updating over here. We're on chapter fourteen now guys!!
loveeeee sunny days endless hell!!!! i got here from both necronautral and skolomorphic reccomending you!!!!! i love zan xinyi omg !!!!!!!!! probably gonna end up checking out your fanfics too i love women !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the deadpan humor of it all the way zan xinyi kinda just sucks but is also so so so cool but would swallow rocks rather than communicate let alone reveal emotion/vulnerability !!! she strikes me as sum1 too used to being alone. wargh !!! i love your writing!!
ty so much anon!! zan xinyi is my favorite kind of person to write. and she would rather swallow rocks than communicate a single emotion
May I suggest that some variant of the original descriptive title (Game Designer Mutant Eschaton?) be the series title, and Witch of the Apocalypse be the second book title?
it's a good idea! i cant be shifting around the title so much, so I need to lock it in soon.
Congrats on Sunny Days reaching Rising Stars! I’ve loved your writing since 2017, when I found Blooming from the Mud. Your grasp of character and their perspectives on the world around them is so fully fleshed out. I’ve been following your SpaceBattles fiction since then, and I’m enthralled by your take on the Naruto setting, and how it grinds a person down under the weight of their own dreams. Your Worm fic is also haunting. The way you loop the MC’s thoughts around specific subjects is really well done. I’m not the best at reading subtext, but I can kind of see what she’s avoiding when she thinks about the nature of love and her responsibility /her place in the world she’s in.
Thank you so much, anon. I kept this message longer because I liked seeing it in my inbox.
It's been nine years since 2017...
But it's been wonderful spending those years with my readers.
Also, I wasn't technically on the main RS list for Sunny Days when you sent this, but I just made it today! So thanks for the good will. <3
Sunny Days Endless Hell chapter 9 up now! 20k words up!
Sunny Days Endless Hell chapter 9 up now! 20k words up!
Zan Xinyi has kept working her retail job until the signs of the mutation apocalypse destroying the world are too much for someone who needs
Chapter 8 up now!!
The trading post is exactly where Jiang Jin said it would be, directly under the now broken bridge that used to lead into the eastern part of town. If you drive down that road far enough it becomes the New East Bank, where all the rich people own mansions.
It’s hard to make them out now, though. A few scattered flames burning on rooftops aren’t enough to light up an entire river.
Zan Xinyi drags her focus back down to the trading post in front of her.
Though, rather than a trading post, isn’t it just a junk yard?
Chapter Seven: Memories in the Fog out now!
The ‘witch’s broomstick’ that she received as a reward is in the antique style, a dark wooden handle with real plant fibers making up the sweeping end. No more green plastic bristles for her.
But even though it looks like it should be magical, the only major difference she can find with her former cheap one is that it’s a bit thicker and heavier, and no matter what she sweeps up or hits with it, the new bristles don’t get dirty. Even blood and guts don’t stick.
Useful, but not three star useful. Not even one star useful.
Presumably, there’s something she’s missing. But short of jumping off a building and seeing if it can help her fly, she doesn’t know what else it would do.
Chapter Six up now!
>Congratulations! You have received: [Purification tag x1 (single use)] [The Witch’s Broomstick] [IT WILL WORK tag x1] Please retrieve at your leisure.
A two star, three star, and one star prize, but the one star is also something she always wants more of.
It’s trying to convince her that sacrificing rolls will always be the wrong call, because the rewards will be so much better if she just trusts her luck. And so polite about it, too.
Zan Xinyi laughs coldly, hands clenching on the wheel.
That’s what the casinos all want you to think.
