Hi! I was pondering on my question, and i was wondering if i submit a fic/sample to the sfw zine. If i have a sfw sample and a nfsw sample and a couple of other started works. Can the first sample i send the sfw with perhaps light nfsw to the sfw zine and the second sample be a nfsw or does it have to be a sfw as well?

You can submit NSFW samples, but you need to add an appropriate warning for your sample (CW = Content Warning, TW = Trigger Warning).

hi!! i just had a few questions for the writer application..

for the 2 one shots that are required, are those part of the 2-3 samples that we have to submit, or would those be put into the portfolio? i was slightly confused on where those belonged so i just wanted to clarify!

is there a word limit with the samples? (i.e. if we were to submit a third sample, would that have to follow the 3k rule like the one shots or would it be okay if the third sample had more words?)

All samples should be 3k words or less. You can add as your sample an excerpt from your fanfic, but it should be possible to read it without needing a lot of context. Additionally we require among the samples at least one oneshot, to show you can write a story with a limited amount of words. Preexisting stories/poems are perfect, it's not necessary to create something new for your portfolio.
