David’s ‘Friend Pills’

(( I’ve been told that it’s actually RX. See the thing is where I live, that doesn’t exist. I can’t really be expected to know everything about other countries.. we do it differently over here. So let’s just turn this theory into a fun ‘what if’ shall we?))

In episode Ep 1 of season 2 we see David pull out an orange bottle of pills labeled ‘friend pills PX’ while he has a sing off with the cultist Daniel.

A lot of people speculate that these are antidepressants to help with depression, anxiolytics to help with anxiety or melatonin to help with insomnia (the inability to sleep or stay asleep). While these are all great theories, I did a quick search on 'pills PX’ and this is what I found

Any pill labeled 'PX’ or that had those letters prominent in the name was used to treat Dyskinesia or any disorders like that. Basically the inability to stop moving for a long amount of time.

It would make sense, whenever we see David he is usually making over the top gestures with over exaggerated movements of his hands, his arms and even legs. He jumps around quite a lot, and yeah it’s probably because he’s excited and always pretty darn happy, but it could also be because he literally is unable to stop himself. It would also explain his struggle sleeping and his constant night walks, he can’t stay still and he can’t sleep.

There is a form of these pills labelled 'IPX’ that even looks extremely similar to the pills we can just make out in David’s bottle.

I’m probably really dumb and stupid, but I haven’t seen many people mention it. Maybe it’s because I have no friends, who knows. please don’t attack me if I’m wrong *nervous laugh*

Maybe I’m just digging too deep, who knows.

Wander Over Yonder Real-World Heights

Brought to you by a cartoon nerd who spent the night looking up obscure banjo facts and playing with GIMP to figure out the sizes of characters from a kid’s cartoon instead of studying.

Wander: ~37in / 3′ 1″ / 94cm

Sylvia: ~63in / 5′ 3″ / 160cm

Peepers: ~26in / 2′ 2″ / 66cm

Lord Hater: ~74in / 6′ 2″ / 188cm

Watchdog: ~30in / 2′ 6″ / 76cm

Average Real Human: ~66in / 5′ 6″ / 168cm

This all started because I was wondering what kind of banjo Wander owned. (This seems irrelevant but hold on a minute.)

Banjos are generally categorized into 5-strings and 4-strings. Wander’s is obviously a 4-string because it… has 4 strings… and lacks this knobbly bit that holds the 5th string.

Banjos are also categorized by how long their scale is (This is found by measuring the distance between the bridge and the farther end of the fretboard). Here’s a selection of 4-string banjos and their scale lengths in comparison to Wander’s banjo:

Wander’s banjo’s proportions seem to fit best with the plectrum banjo, so I’m sticking with that.

This realization allowed me to measure the characters because a plectrum banjo’s scale needs to be roughly 26 inches. Instruments can’t be shrunk or grown willy-nilly; their sizes have a big influence on the way they sound. It’s like the difference between a cello and a violin.

So, the scale becomes a 26 inch ruler!

I think my measurements have a wiggle room of 4 inches. Anything below or above that would make Wander’s instrument more of a ukulele or bass than a regular ol’ banjo!

Or maybe it doesn’t matter because a cartoon banjo can sound like anything at any size because it’s a cartoon. *shrugs* But, this still makes too much sense for me to ignore.

Wander over Yonder Merch!!!

So Disney has finally released some Wander over Yonder items on their print on demand site! Though we’re thrilled to have some stuff out there I wanted to give you a heads up that there’s a few technical difficulties with some of the images and a few images missing.

You really think we wouldn’t make a DOMINATOR shirt?!

We’ve been taking with the folks in charge of the shop and we’re trying to get things resolved but I wanted to give you a heads up before any of you purchased some of the incorrect images.

Here’s the 12 images as we designed for them with some detail pics of the missing images.

Let’s talk about Eddsworld house

I’m drawing ew comic but I can’t continue if I don’t know about the structure of the house of Eddsworld. So I started to investigate about it by watching “The end” again.

And this is my result:

(you guys may all know where Matt’s room is, so I don’t have to show it here)

You can see that it really makes sense!

But came to this scene:

and then came back to this scene:

I was a bit confused… So I made this:

*It’s the schema of Eddsworld house drawn by Paul.

If you compare the second schema to part 1, It makes sense too.

After this , I don’t know if Paul deliberately made this mistake ‘cause of laziness or he was too tired to remember all the details. Well, I can’t blame him anyway.

But thanks to those information, I knew that…
