I’m... really done with this fandom, tbh. It’s not the fault of anyone I follow, you guys are doing a wonderful job, and it’s not the show/characters’ fault either. I may find certain aspects disturbing, but I am willing to cope with them for the sake of entertainment because the anime has been great so far.

It’s the fandom in general. More specifically, the level of hypocrisy I come across in tags. People cheer for pregnancy of an underage girl who was raised as replacable force in an insolated environment and knows nothing about life or proper relationships and is not prepared to have a child. People cheer for someone who forced herself onto a boy she supposedly likes. Kokoro is a fine, well-written character, but I really cannot stand people who would unleash the hounds of hell if Mitsuru tried to do all these things instead. It’s become so ridiculous that it actually makes me really fucking uncomfortable. Normally, I would ignore it, but it’s so common it’s practically an epidemy.

I cannot look through the tags without coming across people idealizing teenage marriage/pregnancy. I cannot stand being a part of the fandom that justifies and cheers for such things.

And for the sake of my mental health, I’m done with this blog. Feel free to disagree with me, feel free to unfollow me, but if I do not feel comfortable enough in a fandom as a whole, then I had better step aside and leave this community in order to enjoy the show on my own.

As Zero Two listened, she stared at her cracked nails somewhat absent-mindedly — disgustingly sharp and long, claw-like nails. She hated them, for they were only one of many reminders that she was different... and that it was bad. Biting them was the only therapy she could afford. People treated her like a monster, and they weren’t wrong. They couldn’t be wrong. So many people could not be mistaken.

Tbh I didn’t have much to add until I had a conversation with a friend of mine who is creeped out by the fandom that finds it cute. People defend Kokoro (an interesting and complex character, that is true), trying to find an excuse for things other characters would receive justified criticism for. People say it’s because no one taught them how to behave in such situations, but that does not make it any less creepy.

I just feel like the show sends an entirely different message by putting them in situations Hiro and Zero Two have already gone through. I’m not smart enough to claim that it’s an obvious example of symbolism, but my gut feeling is telling me that the creators are playing with contrast here.

On one hand, here we have Hiro and Zero Two, growing closer little by little in a slow and healthy manner. Yes, Zero Two had creepy moments in the past. She, too, forced herself onto Hiro (this show is getting crazy with the hormones here), and I cannot find an excuse for that, except for, maybe, the way she was raised and treated, but it was still creepy. And here come details: Zero Two was offering herself, she was undressing herself, and she stopped. Kokoro, however, immediately made the decision without Mitsuru’s permission, she tried to undress him and it Mitsuru HAD to stop her.

And here’s another thing: Hiro realized he loved Zero Two all by himself. Mitsuru was told so.

I have a feeling (like I said, it’s just a feeling, I don’t know what to expect) that this rushed and forced ship is meant to be an example of what people should not do. Hiro could have slept with Zero Two several times. Mitsuru and Kokoro did it in an impulsive fashion and they might regret it. But people think it’s cute. I don’t think it’s cute. Or healthy. Doesn’t make Kokoro a bad character writing-wise, but she messed up real bad because she didn’t care for Mitsuru (she decided he had to be the father of her baby when he wasn’t ready, she forced herself onto him several times), that potential baby (it might not happen, but they’re in a state of war with creatures they can’t reason with; this child will be taken away and turned into another soldier, bless) and the squad that will have to deal with her pregnancy if she did get knocked up, which will make her unable to fight. Lovely.

Ironically, if it were Mitsuru who tried to undress Kokoro in the garden against her will, people would be screaming, calling him a toxic abuser and rapist.

But Kokoro is called brave for doing just that.

God I wanna kick my teacher’s ass.

This person is the curator of my diploma project and he keeps ignoring me and my messages despite logging in and being online every single day. In April (on the 16th, if I am not mistaken) I sent a message with the description of my ideas for the last chapter, as well as a question regarding some odd report I keep hearing about only for him to reply on the 6th of May, ‘Hello, where did we stop?’

Did you even read my message you are getting paid extra money for this then do your job you effin’ piece of shit.

I tried to contact him several times and all my messages were left unanswered. Furthermore, I am using social media that marks messages as read and unread, and he didn’t even bother checking his messages. In other words, I’ve been working on my own most of the time and he keeps slacking, even though the deadline keeps approaching (gotta send the last version of the essay at the end of THIS month and present it in June).

I am frustrated and furious beyond measure, so I might as well go kiiiind of inactive due to stress and the amount of work I have to do on my own.

Oh yes, she knew. If she wanted, she’d spend the rest of the day, if not the rest of her life, in this room and would never bother coming out even if she were starving. Quite frankly, at first Zero Two wanted to leave Hiro’s question without an answer for reasons only she knew of. And yet... who knew when they’d get another chance to talk to each other like this? A sigh escaped the girl’s lips as she leaned against the door — only now she realized how unbearable heavy the burden on her shoulders was.

I’m still trying to decide whether I should post all pictures mom and I took at Hinode, our first con in nearly 9 years, not, but I just HAD to share this. The first (and, until today, last) con we attended was a massive failure, but Hinode was even more wonderful than I could possibly expect.

These are the autographs of Yasuharu Takanashi (Naruto, Fairy Tail, Jigoku Shoujo, etc.) and the band he is associated with, Yaiba. They were very nice and friendly and this is, without a doubt, the best part and memory of this Japanese Culture Festival, which I hope to return to in 2019, but in cosplay (probably irl Sinon from SAO as I have to stick with characters that wear glasses or Futaba Sakura from Persona 5).

I used Google Drive to store all my icons in one place before choosing to re-install Windows and guess what? All files. All files BUT my icon folder are there. Icons are gone. Not all of them, but most of them. I have already tried all the suggested methods to get it back and just sent a message to Google’s Support Staff, so let’s hope for the best, but you know what that means? Forced hiatus on most of my blogs except for Zero Two, Lumina, Ichigo and Yeul. Terribly sorry for the inconvenience.
