i'm self-taught, so a lot of it is just trial and error tbh!

i would recommend watching tutorials and setting aside time to actually study the basics (anatomy/lighting/colour theory/etc.) it also helps to look at art styles you admire and try to add bits and pieces into your own work.

personally, i think the most important thing is to not put too much pressure on yourself! i have a habit of doing that and it always takes the fun out of creating, at least for me. just practice and have fun!
