Work in progress.... Something a little animalistic.
New works on the easel at the moment, most in first stages of either composition or reconstruction. I tend to work on six or seven comps at a time, to keep from going blind. The other advantage is that I can sometimes inspire an idea while working on one piece, that I can use on another.
New work on the drawing board, as yet untitled....
A quick watercolour study for some of the new work coming up. I'm in the middle of sketching up a heap of character studies for new comps; this was one of them.

A bit to go yet; painting isn't as fast as graphite work, and given that I'm back to working in colour and not just grayscale means my colour theory is getting a workout on the go.
And I included a recording of my only attempt to play a touchscreen piano, a quick composition I titled "Soul Survivor". I wrote it, the accompaniment, and recorded it in an afternoon, just a quick ditty to try out the tech.
Took a little time out to go through some work over the decades - here's a selection, in no particular chronological order. I even found some old song files, so the one I've picked is a piece that always reminds me of Jon English's "Six Ribbons", a song I performed as my very first solo vocal, age 12.... which was a while ago... *ahem*
(The recording itself is pretty raw - live audio, no effects, no tech wizardry, just a girl and her guitar.)

Like a Nessie....
A couple of tiny finishing touches, and it's finally complete.
There was a woman walking past as I was outside taking the photos - she damn near lost her mind, she was so bewitched by it.
I'll go with that.... that's always a good sign.

One of the latest digital works from the studio.... "Rain Of Flowers".
This turned out so well, I'm actually thinking of putting it to canvas - I think a hand painted version would capture a more human tone in the work.
Today's work in progress.... The thing about picking up where you left off is that, you're aren't always in the same space as when you started... and the vision changes.
