Zehbustin's lovely food blog is a blog, made by two students named Sebastien and Augustin that has been created the 17th January 2016.

The title of your blog is very creative and your slogan is original.

The design of this blog is very simple. It contains only two main images and a blue background. The main images don't reflect your content on the blog. The color of the options in the home page bar also doesn't match with the color of the background. Even the lay-out of the text isn't personalised. There also isn't a sidebar.

According to me they could have put more effort in the design, so that it's more attractive to the public. Despite this, it's pretty easy to navigate on the site.

The images that you added to your post are very simple. Thanks to these, it's easier to know what the post is about.

The first posts on the blog were rather personal and I think it's unfortunate that you didn't continue the personal addings throughout your blog. When the articles that you write are more personal, people will feel more involved.

On the other hand, there are some people that only visit food blogs to learn more about food. For these people it's a huge advantage that the blog evolved into a more informative one.

According to me, the facts that the administrators have posted on their site are very interesting. Everyone can relate to the used subjects because Sebastien and Augustin write about food that almost everyone meets every day. Sometimes I was confronted to a few language mistakes, but nothing disturbing.

Unfortunately, the food opinions are very short. They should have developed it more. The author didn't make his point of view about his opinion clear enough to the reader.

In some posts the authors also included links towards other websites. This is a very good thing about their blog. If you're interested about that subject, you'll receive more information.

Sometimes I had some difficulties understanding your sentence immediatly, for example: “I for one have never tried seaweed, but I have friends who did and apparently it's not that gross”. Your style is directed towards a certain audience. Not everyone will understand it. Nevertheless, it wasn't that disturbing.

Overall it was a good blog and we enjoyed reading it.

The Rösti, an Austrian high altitude best-seller!

If you have already skied in Austria, you probably know the Rösti. It is a traditional dish preferably served hot and with a cup of glühwein. The best part about it is that it’s very tasty and energizing. After some hours of ski it is the best dish possible.

But what is a Rösti actually made of and why is it so good? It mainly consists of potatoes and eggs, for the finishing touch they mostly add bacon and cheese. Despite it’s few ingredients, mastering the Rösti is a pretty difficult task. Many have tried, only few have succeeded to become a Rösti master.

Of course Austria is not the only country to make Röstis. It is originally from Switzerland, but adopted and approved in many countries.

Its wonderful and appetizing look, will never make someone regret buying this piece of art.

Move over marijuana, there’s a new weed in town!

You probably thought this was about weed as in ‘smoking weed’, right? Well you couldn’t be more wrong. This is about the food of the future: seaweed. It may seem gross but you would be surprised how healthy seaweed is. Not only is it good for your health, it’s also very easy to produce. I for one have never tried seaweed, but I have friends who did and apparently it’s not that gross.

Seaweed is a sustainable food source that requires no fresh water, land or fertilizer to grow. It is not susceptible to dirty soil like livestock is. When growing it, it also takes a lot of CO² out of the air. So not only is it very nutritious, it’s also very ecological.

Seaweed has been around for ages. They are used extensively as food in coastal cuisines around the world. Seaweed has been a part of diets in China, Japan, and Korea since prehistoric times. Seaweed is also consumed in many traditional European societies, in Iceland and western Norway.

Although all marine algae contain chlorophyll, they are distinctly colored by pigments. The variety of their coloration is so great that pigmentation plays an important role in marine algae classification. There are brown algae and red algae. Brown algae have approximately 1,000 subspecies. The red algae are smaller than the brown ones. They’re also more delicately shaped, often appearing as graceful, branching ferns. The red algae however have 2,500 subspecies. Needless to say, if you switch your eating habits to seaweed, you will have more than enough choice.

I think it’s clear, one day everyone will be eating seaweed. I say yes to weed and so should you!

Once you go black, you never go back!

Some people may already know this, but dark or black chocolate is way healthier than milk chocolate or white chocolate. 

Dark chocolate is obtained by processing the cacao in a way where 70 to 99% of the chocolate is still cacao. Depending on the percentage there will be more or less additives to the chocolate.

The health benefits of dark chocolate are multiple: it is very nutritious, it contains a lot of antioxidants, it may improve the blood flow and lower the blood pressure.

Compared with milk chocolate, it has been proven dark chocolate contains about half of the sugar of a regular milk chocolate bar. It contains nearly four times more fiber, ten times less cholesterol and so on.

Lastly it is way more filling than normal milk chocolate, this means you will have to eat less before fulfilling your hunger.

Potatolicious

What’s the most famous food in the world? Potatoes of course! We are confronted with potatoes nearly everyday. French fries, chips, mashed potatoes... There is so much we can do with only one ingredient. The best part is that potatoes are full of vitamins and minerals. So if they’re cooked the right way, we can make something very healthy out of them.

Did you know that the word potato comes from the Spanish word patata? Knowing this you may think that Spain is the number one producer of potatoes. Well, you couldn’t be more wrong. Based on 2010 statistics, China is the leading producer of  potatoes.

My personal favorite fact about potatoes is that in 1995 the potato became the first vegetable to be grown in space when seeds were germinated on the spaceshuttle Columbia. If that isn’t mindblowing, I don’t know what is.

Spinach makes you grow big and strong

Last night I had spinach for diner, which left me wondering. What do I know about spinach? The only thing I could think of was that Popeye ate a lot of it and it made him big and strong. But is it true? Is spinach really that good for you?

Apparently it is very healthy, but unfortunately it loses nutritional properties with each passing day. Half of the major nutrients are lost by the eighth day after harvest. This means that spinach is best eaten fresh.

Not only is spinach tasty and good for your health, it is even used for other purposes. Did you know medieval artists extracted green pigment from spinach to use as an ink or paint? And of course it can also be used as a laxative, which I think is very interesting.

Teflon and its dangers

Nearly everybody uses Teflon on a daily basis. We know it best as the black coating on our cooking pans. It’s practical too use because it warms up quite fast, the food doesn’t stick on the pan and it’s easy to clean.

But what you may not know about Teflon is that the glue used to stick it to the metal of the pan is very nauseous to our health. When cooking with a Teflon pan, be sure to never use metal to scrape or to move the food. It’s wiser to use a wooden or plastic spoon

Not only when using the pan is it important to be vigilant, but also when washing it. Be sure to scrub the inside of the pan gently, otherwise it could lead to minuscule scratches on the surface.

Using Teflon does not necessarily mean living unhealthily, but that can only be true if you’re using the material in a correct way.

People disappoint, pizza is eternal

Today we experienced a strong craving for pizza. After thinking about it for a while we noticed that we don’t know that much about pizza. That’s why we decided to look up some more information about everybody’s favorite food.

Surely you all know that pizza is a baked flat bread topped with tomato sauce and cheese. It is commonly topped with different kinds of meat, vegetables and condiments. But did you know the term pizza was first recorded in the 10th century in a Latin manuscript in Central Italy?

You may think that Italy is the place to be when you want to eat pizza, but as a matter of fact America is the pizza leader in the world. Americans eat approximately 100 acres of pizza each day, or 350 slices per second. Pizza is a $30 billion per year industry.
