Introducing: “Super Villain Rebound!!”

Summary: “Former super villain, by the name of ‘Vaans’, has come back to the city after his long six-year disappearance-- except now all he wants to do is live a “normal” civilian life! Frankly, he really enjoys this second chance, and will do anything to make sure it stays “normal”. But much to his dismay, Vaans’s past will catch up to him sooner than he thinks. 

Previous acquaintances still search for him to bring their leader back, retired heroes hate him, and somehow, young civilians just won’t leave him alone! Can he truly move past his shoddy reputation and live a normal life?! Follow Vaans’s story, as this awkward former super villain does his best to ‘rebound’ from his past life in various comedic obstacles others throw his way!"

Hello everyone!! I apologize for the lack of updates on my art accounts;; My first year of university was a rocky road, but now that summer is near, I’m able to be online for now! 

I’d like to be clear; this webtoon is NOT real at the moment. However, I am considering making it real! The only reason I am still considering it is because I’m not sure how much people will read it, find it interesting, or support it. Which is why I’d like to see if advertising this idea here will make a difference!

Extra Info: This webtoon idea was made for a contest in my uni’s club, but it eventually became much more than that. The theme for the contest was making a “fake comic cover”, with a summary and some spare sketches, so I took an idea I had in the back burner of my sketchbooks and decided to expand on it! I eventually plotted out more ideas on characters until I realized that this was something I could work with. 

The genre of this webtoon will be comedy mixed with drama/moral value (think, Barakamon, etc)! Overall, I wanted to play on the idea of “reputation” in society. How impactful is reputation, and how important is it? The characters will go through their own lives thinking about their own, and question whether or not they should change. 

ALSO I am considering entering LINE Webtoon’s contest, but I have to plan out a lot of things ^^;

(Mini personal comic of my situation and multiple reasons why I’ve been gone often from online lately ==> under the cut)

-DEEP BREATHS-

If you’ve managed to read this all, I have to thank you for taking the time of day. I haven’t drawn or written anything so personal in a long time. I’ve been giving life a lot of thought lately, and decided to make a comic instead. That being said, this is in no way something I want people to pity me after hearing whats going on. (But I do understand any words of encouragement! Thank you!)

All in all, TLDR; A lot of things have been going on. Being thrown into the real world so suddenly and so unfortunate has been taking a toll on me. Even so, I still don’t wanna give up so easily. Because I have people who believe in me, and I don’t wanna let them down.

Its not gonna be easy the next two months. With a make-or-break decision that I’ll find results about soon, my life events will be unstable. 

I still want to make an attempt to draw more often and reach out to those over the years I’ve lost due to my disappearance. It might take some time, but slowly and surely<3 

I hope you will understand my need to take some space from time to time to heal. m(_ _)m  As always,
