I've drawn this the day after seeing The Last Act in Theatres on Thurs 6/4, and I've set it to post the day after it releases on Youtube.

I have been loosely following Gooseworx's body of work for something like 15 years now, so of course I jumped at the opportunity to see her passion project in theatres. It was so clear to me that she put so much of herself into this character.

It's such a breath of fresh air to see not just a character who is overtly transfem and struggling with it, but also one who is an asshole. While I was nowhere near as bad of a person as Jax was, that was still me, I was the asshole, the emotionally closed off person who'd lash out and take jabs at others under a veil of being ironic and 'funny'.

I've long since stopped being that person, but there's a part of me that still feels that urge sometimes to just undercut someone with blunt scathing remarks. I've worked to hard to not be that person, and anyone whose friends with me nowadays can tell you I'm no longer that person.

So to see such an honest portrayal of a character so much like the person I once was, that was handled with so much care. Her Narrative really resonated with me. I'm so glad I got to see it on the big screen. I think this story is going to stick with me for a long time.

Did not have a whole lot of time to put into this one, infact I made this while I should most definitely be sleeping, but I'd be remiss not to make another red dress pic this year. Maybe next year I'll actually be in a point in my life that's stable.
