Igor is the test to see if bluepoch can put in characters that act of their own desires out outside of the time keeper domain and it kind of works. depends on how far the fanbase can understand complex characters.

Time going back and forth between eras...

That doesn't sound like something humans usually experience, and Leshy wonders if he's a game entity like himself. He thinks better than to ask him outright, preferring to preserve the illusion.

As for memories...

𖦹 I am inclined to agree with you. Our memories are precious things. I'll never forget the challengers I faced, nor the challenges I made for them. 𖦹

Leshy takes a sip of tea. Though it may not be mushroom tea, he enjoys it all the same.

Every name of man and woman who has died for the foundation, for the cause that they speak of. It is hard to say, but for every thing he did, his memory is perfect. the sins haunt him to this moment, the spectres hiding behind everything.

Leshy makes himself at home. Though he has enough courtesy to wipe his feet on the mat, he's still a walking forest, and dust and dirt trail behind him as he makes his way to the table.

Having arrived at the townhouse, Leshy stops in his tracks and stares at the door.

Leshy is ready to set down these boxes and have a cup of mushroom tea. It is the least the man owes him for his labor, he thinks to himself.

the key is unlocked, and everything is settled into place. Igor boils tea, along with some random tea leaves he bought on a whim. A normal life such as this is something his heart longed for, in the end and he knows how short his last tenure is on this city.

He will savor the moments.

"What of your world?"

"I don't know of any Foundation in the context you're talking about, but there's plenty of organizations that exist because of sorcerers in my home - all of them are a pain to deal with."

The coffee's still good, even if it isn't sweet enough for his taste. Maybe he could add more sugar to it...

"Any organization claiming to be for the betterment of people is almost never actually about that."

Wherever this man is from, this relatively peaceful life is new to him, too. And it seems he's responsible for his own subordinates as well, going off the comment about his men.

Nothing else but that, of course there was little to be said when you purposely fight for protection. for purpose, but right now he suppose he can relax. after all time flows too differently to be of any use in worrying.

With a little bit of effort, Leshy picks up the two boxes of groceries. (If the other man bought any mushrooms, Leshy will keep an eye on them.)

Was it not ironic, him of all people who has done crimes against common sense living the life most would dream of.

Though Leshy is something of an old man himself, he keeps himself busy as he wanders through the city, having no obligation to sit at a table and await challengers anymore. (Unless he's at a game store or the like, of course, where he tends to go frequently. But he digresses.)

When the human asks for his assistance, Leshy leans down and blinks at him, considering his request. A moment passes, then his eyes start to swirl as his words make their way into the other man's mind.

He says, accepting the deal and knowing that the other didn't specify how much of the excess he needed. Igor knows of deals, and people who hide in them. And since he is alone, a little gamble wouldn't hurt.

"Three blocks, to the right and then one left. That will be all, I assume you can carry two boxes." Igor offers the ones beside his feet. very much someone who can carry all of them, but he didn't feel like doing that much this hour.

"The Foundation was a international organization that uses Arcanist for the betterment of normal humans alone, that I can admit. Within the future, do similar organizations still exist?"

the coffee was still cooling. the day is just starting, the newspaper still unread. Conversation with others is fine and all, but could Igor not have chosen a better conversation topic?

"A long time? Eh...let me think for a moment..."

"it is almost summer , should I start preparing lighter clothes?" coming from russia, the winters and summers of it were very light on temperature. Much less in the plains.

At least, its not about escaping the city.

Caine thought about it, chewing his gum as his gaze was locked into a steady stare, looking at… Nothing, really.

“Well in our previous assignments we had our students work on concept art then 3d models for those, if you mean I have some examples to show them then yes!” He brought out his phone, showing the other various slides. The characters were… Weird, at least to the average person. Caine’s character designs leaned more towards big, bulging eyes and cartoony proportions. He also loved big gloopy monsters. “We already rigged the models beforehand so now we just have to use the game engine directly for the animation. We can use pre-made animation but that’s not really viable for computed controls like walking or jumping.”

"And will your games be open for public use?"

half was understand because as a history professor, he had to keep up with everything and all his children schedules as well. hence he was mildly profession with the computer. A busy work schedule can create miracles, or make nightmares. Some could break under the pressure, especially one as skill base as gaming. and making games was no easy task at all.

A plume of powdered sugar ‘smoke’ plumed out of the tip. Caine unwrapped the gum that was in the shape of a cigarette and stuck it in his mouth.

“Yummy!” He said, somehow totally able to pronounce all his words.

“My next brilliant plan is to show them how to program their own AI NPCs for a horror game! You know, set priority, how to set up the 3D model in-game, animations, stuff like that.”

His mind somehow thinks of that odd game called Baldy basis that he played when he was in america, it was so long ago he wonders if its still playable in its current form...

"Ha."

"I will save this for one of my daughters instead. Perhaps they can appreciate the flavor more then i could."

Caine was just staring at the machine until he heard the voice of the other, his attention instantly snapping up.

“Oh! Hello my fellow professor! It’s been a fantastic day!” It wasn’t, not really. Some students enjoyed his quirks but most are exhausted. He looks at his wrist with a watch that is 100% a toy.

“Soon I’m going to help with the ‘gaming’ club to do some ‘gaming’, as I am the ‘gaming’ professor!” He hoped that darn tv doesn’t visit. He grabs a pack of cigarettes from his pocket, silently offering it to Igor. One can clearly see the ‘no smoking’ sign right behind him.

unwilling to go into the joke, he does take one cigarette offered. The whole day was full of young people that did not know what to do, still finding themselves. how peaceful for all of them really, that they had such luxury compared to his own childhood.

"and what is your next lesson plan for them?"

Igor brings out a lighter from his jacket, always ready for a smoke. you can see the flask of a vodka bottle under his jacket as well, playing well into the stereotype of russians.

How peaceful everything is, the school grounds being close to after classes now and Igor making his coffee. the teacher lounge full of other people that come and go , rushing to their classes with a carelesness that most cannot comprehend.
