Indeed. The reason for those money exchangers was because Temple sacrifices needed to be pure and unharmed animals. The further away one was from Jerusalem, the greater the likelihood any sacrifice they brought from their home to the Temple would be harmed along the way, and thus they’d be ineligible to make that sacrifice and observe that crucial part of Temple Judaism. So the rule was made in the Torah, well in advance of when we even had the Temple, that people who lived far away from Jerusalem would sell the animal for whatever type of sacrifice they were to do, take that money, and then go exchange it at the Temple itself for the proper animal for said sacrifice. The whole purpose of the money exchangers was to help people have accessibility to the Temple and help them observe their religion.

Men like it when you are direct with your intentions- as much as it may seem the opposite. Personally, I usually try to be friends with people before I try to date them. Even if I am interested in more, to be given the cold shoulder based on my interests instead of my actions usually makes me pretty sad.

I get that theres a lot of men who react violently to that sort of thing- but imagining everybody to fall under that category is a bit mean in my opinion.

Point is- if you want to be his friend and you know he is into you, you have to be willing to tell him how you feel if you dont want to move forward under those circumstances.
